I go out to the mail box and recieved a letter from work. In this letter it tells me that i am such a special employee yada, yada and instead of giving us bonuses this year they will donate my bonus to cherity. What the heck is that all about? if you are going to give away my bonus at least let me pick the charity of my choice! anyone else have this happen?

Seriously tho, It's good to give to charity, but if they want to make it on your behalf, it should be your choice to give it ans to whom.
they did this last year also. the word is that they really didn't do much. they have over 30,000 employees. I find it hard to believe that they gave that much to 3 charities.
Sounds like the company needed a tax deduction.

thats the thing tho. work for a company that pays in pennies and then gives our bonus to charity. so therefore we don't get any bonuses. they are so cheap we can't even get proper work out equipment.

you have workout equipment. All jokes aside, as long as you weren't relying on the bonus then it prob doesn't hurt too bad. There's days when i hate my job and all the BS that goes w/it. Those are the days when i try to remind myself that unemployment is 10% nationally and im fortunate to even be working! Now to address you original question... ya your a scrooge

My work gives us 50.00 bux. Never has been any more and never less so it keeps a level playing field amongst employees. Oh wait thats right I was drinking with our acct. gal and she admitted a few employees that get more. OK Im pizzed now.

thats just one of MANY stunts that they pull to F0(k us! I even asked the boss if the customer wanted to bend us over and do us raw would we have to. He told us if we still wanted a job we had better let them! this guy doesn't know the first thing about what he is doing!

I would enjoy the pretense of a bonus.
All we are doing is getting more ****ty caffeteria food since I am at work on Christmas. And New Years. And I was here for Thanksgiving.
