Do you really HAVE to run APV oil?

I know that the new polaris VES stuff smells really good, if you smell it long enough it smells like skittles or some kind of candy lol

sucks the stuff so expensive but dealer not covering motor ? know a couple of motor biulders say oem oil walmart 9 bucks gal . gess it gets ran in $ 7000 out boards . i run ac oil better safe than

My last 2 NEW sleds I ran APV the first year then switched to penzoil petro/syn blend.
Less then half the price, both engines look like new inside, and I notice very little diference in carbon deposit.
Over 5000 miles on one, and over 2300 on the second, no engine issues at all.

Amsoil Interceptor in my M-7 all it's ever had, never had to clean the valves.

Ive been running ves gold for more than 3 years now in my m7 and didnt have my powervalves cleaned for more than 3000 miles (didnt gunk up just figured I better have it done) and the mechanic asked me what oil I was using and said that they didnt even need to be cleaned. I switched because i got sick of my eyes and lungs burning from the ac oil.
