Do you drive in the left lane?

Seems to me those people holding up traffic in the left lane are completely oblivious to what they're doing. You flash your lights or honk and they think your just being an a-hole....they don't think they're doing a damn thing wrong.

If it's people like this that get your blood boiling don't go through MN in the winter. There's a new bread of drivers who live there now who used to live in the dessert and probably have never driven until they got to America.
Oh and most are cab drivers:eek:

Montana is a god send compared to MN for dumb azz drivers but they still have some here too.

It's simple, It doesn't matter what you do in the right lane, but in the left lane, just go faster than the vehicle behind you, or move out of their way.

Answer this....do you expect someone to exceed the speed limit, risk getting a ticket or an accident because you didn't leave early enough??? Or would it be better if you want to get somewhere earlier to just leave earlier??:rolleyes:

Answer this if you want to drive the speed limit why don't you get your arse in the driving lane which is the right lane and stay the heck out of the passing lane, which is the left lane and let the people who are not afraid to drive 5 mph over the limit get by you? My common courtesy to the left lane drivers if they do not move over is to move to my left a little and then hit all my lights wich generally shine in the mirror right into their eyes and I stay about 10 ft off their butt. They usually move over pretty fast. Then when I get around them they usually hit their brights which 1, doesnot bother me in my 4wd and 2, I am never right in front of them for long.

You think Texas drivers are bad in Texas? Try watching em in Colorado, throw a little snow on the road and it's downright hilarious!

I'm from central MN so I get some pretty good chuckels watching that. over Turkey day weekend it got cold and started raining just enough to make some slick spots. Looked like a high speed demo derby out on the freeway. :D

You would think that if they didn't know how to drive on icy roads they would at least slow down a little right? NOPE! just high speed carnage!

The typical left lane offender here is the big a$$ 2wd Suburban that hasn't been washed in 4 months, the front wheels have so much brake dust you'd mistake it for powder coating, the "my child is an honor student at XXXX elementary school sticker on the back window, dents in the bumper from backing into things and the idiot driver is carrying on a cell phone coversation.

Ding Ding Ding we have a winner!!!

don't forget the smoking a cigarette, and applying makeup part of that equasion!

On my old truck I had a sticker in the back window that said " could you drive any better with that phone up your A$$!!!" I actually got out of a speeding ticket because of that.

This is a pretty funny thread. I do have the ultimate defense though. I hate the left laners and when i finally do get around them i juice up the chip on the diesel and give them the biggest smoke out I can. It also workes well when people are riding you azz. They don't stick back there to long.

What drives me nuts is when some a-hole pulls out to pass, and never gets it done, and the line behind him inthe "passing lane" is longer than the line in the "driving lane".

For years I've been a proponent of big steel bumpers and a legal application fo their usage. Vigilantiesm at it's best.

got an older relative that will drive in the left lane. he always goes exactly the speed limit too. he says he doesn't care if it takes him 30 min to pass another car. and everyone else in the car is telling to either speed up and pass already, or at least slow down and move over. nope, he's doing the speed limit and everyone else on the road trying to pass him are speeding, so they can just wait. he's an idiot, and i've told him that more than once. obviously i don't ride with him at all anymore, or even follow him

I think in MN and WI it's more prevalent then any other place I have been in the USA. I don't know what it is but people go from the on-ramps to the far left lane in one fell swoop without even thinking about it. Half the time in the morning the middle lane or right lane is actually quicker because everyone is trying their hardest to get to the left. WTF?

I try and make a consious effort to always be in the middle or right lanes when simply driving, if I'm in the left I will pass and then get back over. Sometimes I have forgot but when I notice someone behind me I get over as soon as possible without slowing down or loosing ground.

I have always thought ND and SD, WY have been great examples of people doing the right thing?

Most roads up here are 4 lanes (including highways) so you've got 2 lanes going each way, no one cares which one they're in or how fast they're going. Passing lane is an extra lane going up a hill to get around trucks.

We have 2 military bases within 30 miles of town, so plenty of GIs with 2 wheel drive cars and summer tires to deal with as well.

California is the best for accidents in the rain. Everytime it was cloudy at night I'd set my alarm half an hour early to make it to work on time the next day.
