I was up a Gold Creek this morning and I had driven down to the turnaround , made the turn and was headed back up the hill. Low and behold some joker in a pickup with his little two place stops at the top of the hill , waits for a min. and drives down and stops in front of me and ask if I can back up. I was under the assumption that you waited for people to make the turn and park then head down. I know the sport needs new blood but do you have to sit and watch me back a 27' trailer so I can get out of your way.... Other than that Ill get off of my soap box .

Who knows? Maybe he tries to back up, get's sideways and stuck, and you end up spending half of your morning trying to get him out.
Sometimes 5 minutes of hassle is worth 5 hours of fun. Just sayin...
There is always some kind of mess there. If they would just plow it correctly and people would read the signs "no parking in turn around" it would work better! This area has been the same for 20 years. The early bird gets the easy spots!(or us Monday guys!) I think the best solution is Pave the turn around, and park on the way in. Everybody leaves at different times, but shows up between 8-10!

Is up on the mountain in the parking lot really the place to be with a trailer and not knowing how to handle it?
we all had to learn and continue to learn, same thing i say about boaters,

This really must have ruined your day to come all the way home and then complain about those cheap azz ghetto people with there lousy two place trailers. What a bunch of noobs.. With conditions as good as they r right now I would have forgotten about the morning parking fiasco after the first play area.

We use a Toyota Tacoma and a small two place tilt trailer when we go and I would move for someone driving with a 27' trailer easier for me to move then him and most likely be quicker for everyone just saying
Ditto. I've never understood why we don't park on the way in. Driving back from the turnaround just doesn't make sense in the morning.
Thats what I thought when I heard the word hill.
Yes, no hill at the one by Gold Creek. Likely a different place, but the same issue. I dread getting 1/2 past the lineup and having to backup due to an on-coming vehicle. That line of rigs can get long!
Think you'd get a ticket if you parked on the way in and had your vehicle facing the wrong way for that side of the road?

i would think people would have more commen sense about stuff like this. trying toback up a 27' trailer Vs a 10' trailer the 10' footer is going to be way easyer than the other so why he started to come down the hill IDK people just need to think before they do. i have had this problem in a parking lot
Maybe, but you could always park on the other side too... I think the issue is that some people go to the turn around, unload, then park.
