They need to revise the tax code and hit the rich harder. Trickle down is bullshit. Some guy making 10m a year is gonna spend the same even if his tax rate goes up. They gotta cut spending too, $750billion defence budget and the whole government was overrun by a bunch of drunk rednecks in 2 hrs. You fiscal conservatives should be freaking out.?

People that put themselves in dangerous positions have to accept the potential outcome. I learned that in the mountains years ago and have seen the consequences too many times. If you storm the capital with an angry mob you’d better have accepted the fact that the guards just might shoot you. You’re delusional if you haven’t. I wish I could agree with your forecast but it appears you have no idea . I might have to make a haul down to Utah so I'll wave when I come threw .

Rob Smith says 'decline of America' started with 'intense conversations' on social media.​

Heated social media discourse has attributed to the "decline of America," podcast host Rob Smith said on Friday.

"My theory is all of this stuff and the decline of America, it's really started with how intense our conversations are on social media right now," the host of "Rob Smith is Problematic" told "Fox & Friends."

In light of the recent rioting that took place on Capitol Hill, Smith said that everyone "needs to take a step back to calm down and think about the things that are being said."

"We don't really realize that social media has really only been here for about the past 10 to 15 years and has made everything so intense, so divided," he said.

Violence erupted Wednesday afternoon in the U.S. Capitol as lawmakers were in the process of certifying the Electoral College votes won by President-elect Joe Biden. At one point, lawmakers were told to put on gas masks and barricade inside as law enforcement officers tried to restore order.

Protesters were seen on video smashing glass doors as authorities drew their weapons to protect the building. The certification was stopped for a few hours as the chaos escalated outside and inside the Capitol building.

The rioting that took place on Capitol Hill in D.C. "was not a good moment for America" and was "actually a very bad moment for America," Smith said.

"I think that there were so many people that were so used to getting these messages from very prominent figures on social media. 'This is your time to overturn the election, this is your time to fight, you have to stand up, you have to rise up'," Smith said.

"All of these things were not necessarily based in reality because they were so separate from the real conversations about election integrity, which I think is a very valid conversation. But, when you have these platforms, when you have this following, when you have this opportunity to reach people, you have to be careful what you say and this goes for the right and the left."

Oh that's a HUGE part of it for sure, no problem agreeing on that. When the damn boomers got on social media and started believing everything they saw in memes and shared videos, it's been downhill ever since. Once the algorithms started tailoring searches and explore functions, it was like gas on a bonfire.

I miss the good old days of internet....no boomers/Karens, the fringe wackos hung out on some weird site you'd never heard of, and the conspiracy BS stayed there with them. Just reading threads on why your PSI twins kept blowing up your 700 RMK, and downloading music/grainy porn from Lime Wire until your Dell had more virus problems than the Trump administration. Those were the days....golden era of internet for sure.

Once Fox News figured out the assholes would tune in (nothing worth watching on regular TV) they put their actor posing as a journalist Trucker Carlson in primetime. Amp them up with hate and fear. Blame the liberals and LGBT for everything. They ate it up and shared on Facebook. It made them rich. It tore down our country. They elected an asshole who figured out how to get them amped at rallys. He had no plan just a quest for power. Now here we are...about to stomp this flaming bag of **** out

There have been several TV shows showing what can happen with Social media. If you have a chance to watch any of them i would highly recommend doing so. "the Brainwashing of my Father", Social dilemma, The Great Hack which was about Cambridge Analytica and Snowden (whether you think he was a criminal or not) the context was scary. "The Brainwashing " leans left but both sides do this so if you watch as a process driven idea yit clearly point out how dangerous this stuff can be.
