Detonation light ?

Ok so I have a 05 Rmk ve and half way through my ride the other day(3 hours) my detonation/temp light came on, and it was not temp cuz would flash on and off every few sec.
Ok so I stopped and pulled the plugs and they were ok just a lil wet, cleaned and ran great for about an hour, then came on and off the way down,
So I looked around and found the the rubber Boot that goes from one carb to head was not all the way on, could that have anything to do wit it.

I have been reading that Champion plugs r what u want to run but I have NGK BPR9EIX

could that make the difference?

Flashing temp light means detonation. Fix that carb boot, could be lean on the leaking side causing deto. I have run both NGK BPR9EX and the Champions that the ignition was designed for, the Champions burned just a tad cleaner but both worked fine. Plus no one carries the Champions... I would check piston wash while you're doing the trouble shooting too.
