As title says Polaris has no reason to change anything for next year. The frog Doo is still heavier, holds less fuel, wider, and less hp, then the matrix. I was hoping Doo would push Polaris, but not yet I guess. The only thing I like about the Doo is shot system.

The only thing that puts poo ahead is their guage and ease of working on them. The rest is preference. I think they covered everybody. If you look at electric start poo they probably aren't that far off. You do have to pull the rope once which sucks. Doo rides better than anything and the lynx is way above that. The 15 wide will be really fun. They fixed a bunch of stuff and bet they're awesome. They are never going to be as light or narrow as poo but that doesn't make them bad. Also on fuel you don't see a million threads on how to pack fuel for their sleds like you do on the boost. Doo accessories are awesome.

To me that sounds like a smaller bore twin two stroke, everyone is saying 900. The 850 is still fairly new and would be surprised to see it go so soon but that’s just me.

How quickly you forget that most of the innovations that you enjoy were brought to market by Ski-doo
The First 2 stroke turbo
Short tunnel
Removable snow flap
LINQ
Semi direct/ direct injection/ boost injectors
Electric reverse
Electric oil injection.
Rider forward chassis
I’m sure there are many more some must have patients such as shot start and keyed teathers. Oscar Wilde said “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery”. Polaris has a very nice sled right now. I still trust Skidoo more and I’m willing to make very small sacrifices in exchange for the reliability. My point is that competition drives innovation and it’s a good time to be a snowmobiler!

I don't run e-strart so mute point for me. I find it funny that Doo always said 16 wide was the way to go and now they offer a 15 wide, and if it sells good I bet you see more sleds with the option next year. I don't see how they have everyone covered with less hp and more weight. Also there fuel economy is going to go down on the turbo they added more boost to try to get to Polaris which means more fuel to go along with with the added boost.

Also I bet a bunch of guys are going to order the expert pkg and hate it, it doesn't have the flex track and t-motion which was a band aid for there crap chassis.

Who cares who invented what. It doesn't change the numbers.

Numbers are important on a keyboard. In the real world perhaps skidoo can do more with 5.5lbs of boost then Polaris does with 8lbs. Maybe skidoo can go further on less fuel. Maybe skidoo’s shot model feels lighter when riding then Polaris’s electric start model. Agian Polaris was pushed by Ski-doo to release a turbo. (1.5 years after)Were they ready? Time will tell if the bottom ends hold up. Skidoos turbos have done well. There are very few Boost sleds even on the snow. This rivalry has pushed both manufacturers to create better sleds. It’s a win win. Ride what every appeals to you. They are both great.

Ive been told by 2 very good inside sources that i need to sell my 22 and get a 23 , was told fuel consumption might be a issue lol.
I hinted to one source if its a 900, he told me im on to something, so i guess we will see at mths end but i did tell my dealer today to count me in for a new 23 as he told me to expect ltd production.

I sense fear in you. If you actually own a boost and have received it I’m sure it will be just fine. Don’t worry about what others are riding. Pretty sure a direct injection sled will always be more precise and more fuel efficient then a semi direct. Yes Lynx has a 15” wide track. Options are good. Enjoy your new sled!

You will never get them to admit anything. 16 wide climbs good but the wider it is the harder to get on edge. Hence tmotion and flex edge which creates other issues i some but not all area's. They also have 34 inch front end to compensate. Doos were always heavier but rode lighter but you were comparing 39 to their 36. I don't think their chassis is crap at all. It was too wide and they narrowed it up. Only problem i see now is the searching front end. They ride better than anything. Motor seems smoother. Definitely not as easy to work on. If you don't want t motion get an expert. If you want it you can get it. If you want a 15 wide you can get a lynx. That is what i call covering everyone. Let's be honest, 20 or 30 pounds doesn't get you somewhere somebody else can't get anymore. More of a talking point. power is going to be in the mix. If you have to pack fuel they have all sorts of options. Even a 4 gallon jug. My kaos boost is awesome but i would still like to try a shredder.

Hope it is a 900 so they can sort it for a year before I’m ready for a 24/25

Hahaha talk about fear I'm not the doo guy trolling the Polaris section defending the over promised undelivered new frog Doo Doo.

the doos doo ride the best but still kinda have a pogo-ish feel up front. not sure if shocks can fix that or its just another characteristic of the too far forward rev design. You see more doo riders launched over the bars than any. just watched a vid where guy blew a belt on a steep climb and it sent him over the front. That ski-doo feeling!
