Here is some deep snow in CO.......

It wasn't the deepest day probably 4-5 feet of fresh but it was sooo light and fluffy. The craziest part about the day was that there was no snow in the parking lot. I am talking ZERO snow not even a dusting. Then 10 miles into the hills it just started getting deep and deeper and deeper.

deepest snow i have ridden in was here in Utah 2 years ago. It was Feb.6,2007. I was on an m8 and got stuck. The trench was 6 ft deep and more than 5Ft. of it was fresh powder. It was the most snow i have ever seen in my life

Was East of Cascade Idaho at a starting area called Warm Lake two years ago January 28th or so 2008. The snow was 4ft.-to-6ft. deep and still snowing....on my 05 Rev-X159 with group of buddies........never thought I would say in my life that the snow was too deep to ride but it dang near was! 7 of us in the group..........one would lead breaking trail and maybe he would make it 300 yards before snow ingestion would start to bog him down......then the number two guy would break around him and the group would follow until the same thing would happen.

Kind of a hop-scotch method of ridding ...........super good times!!! Made it 6 miles in or so using this technique before turning around and heading back. One of my favorite sledding memories to date. Man I am jacked up for this coming sledding season!!! Keep the stories and pictures coming fellas............it's good reading material........think snow!!

Best I've seen was probably 8 or 9 years ago, took me 2 hours to dig down to my sled in the yard, then when I drove out the driveway I drove over the car it was buried deep enough I didn't touch it. It was a couple hours till I seen another track, was powder on the roads around town.

Only crappy part was digging out the car when I came home.

i had 2 feet of powder in the black hills a few years ago. The short track phazer loved it haha i was soo scared to go into it after the first few stucks!

We're all moving to Oregon, Sandman!

The pic in front of our cabin shows the tunnel we dig every year to get into the front door. (Dogs will not help dig.........crap.) After late Jan and early Feb, we have to dig down to the roof level and dig under the eave to get onto the front porch. Anyway, with 3-4 feet underneath your feet on the path in the tunnel, you can get an idea. This pic was taken in January when we still had 3 good months of accumulating snow to happen yet and it's at 6300 feet ASL. We LEAVE to ride from here, and go UP from there, where it actually gets deep! Nice riding in Island Park. Sometimes there's snow. If it's a lean year, we'll move to Oregon and ride with Sandman.....

*************

this was from 2 seasons ago, 14 feet of total snow, when you got off the sled you were chin deep in it!!!! was the most awesome ride i've ever had, pinned all day long, going around corners you would get sooooooooo much snow in your face it was all you could do to wipe the snow off on eye and keep on going. snow was building up sooooo bad on my neck had to keep wiping it off so i could even move my head!!!!! perfect day...

Now that's some deep snow!! Great picture. Stuck I take it? Most I've ever ridden in was last February 4ft dump on a great base. What a great day! I think that's perfect deepness of powder.

no not stuck just waiting for my buddie to catch up!!! was soooo much snow when you rode by the banks they would start mini avalanches. when moving you were just a blur of flying white pow... stovey, come on over! maybe you could make a marathon sled ride:)

Wow some of that snow is insane. I wish the Big Horns got snow like that!!:D

Valemount 2003 (I think) No snow until christmas then it dumped 5 ft plus in 2 days. First day could not even break trail to the riding area. Day 2 when we got to the first bowl there were at the very least 20 sleds stuck with everyone else sitting helping or watching. It was nipple deep powder with no base.
