Where to start? Back in January, the 16th to be precise i see Mattzx6 posting a used 28rs turbo kit with 400 or so miles and powder coated intercooler, hearder, the whole works. Kit use to be on one of the sickest yamaha's i have ever seen and is plastered all over customsleds.ca website. I hit Matt up and we work out a sweet deal for the both of us, boost gauge, controller, A/F gauge, new headshim, and everything to make this thing run. Matt then tells me its still at custom sled and in Johns care so i figured sweet, this guy knows what he is doing and will send everything right the first time and get right on it.. So, i call john at custom to touch bases with him and make sure we are all on the same page and he assures me everything will be there and accounted for and he will do his best to get it out to me. I figured good deal, cant wait to get the kit and ship the money order asap to help this deal along. Well, a week goes by and i havent heard anything so i call up john to see how its going and give him a fedex account number to ship it on my dime. He's quick to take it and tell me its goin good and he is just waiting on a headshim from dave at powderlites to make the kit complete. No biggie, i can wait for that. Another week goes by and so i decide to give John another call and says he got the shim but with no headgaskets. I figured that is strange but ok, i will be patient since im getting a good deal. He assures me the gaskets are on their way though and it will be out by the end of the week. So i call again at the end of the week and says oh yeah they came in we will have it out for ya this afternoon no problem. Sweet! I tell him to get me a tracking number and i will call back monday to get it. So i call monday late afternoon so they would have time to ship it and he gets on the phone and says their is no Fedex in Canada and i ***ged him over and took two hours away from him and F this and im wasting his personal time etc etc. Yes he actually started cussing at me over the phone and then just hangs up before i could say anythng. Im HOTT to say the least, i call right back and the stupid kid at the counter tells me john left the building but yet i can hear him talking right beside him or close to. I try to get ahold of him for the next couple days and like always he is out or two busy and i leave my number repeatily and never, not once, a phone call Back. I let Matt know of the situation and that im getting the run around and he decides to go poke his nose around and sees what he can do. Matt then tells me he just had a blow up and things went wrong at the shp or whatever and Matt apologizes and i decide ok, lets just get this thing shipped and be done. Well some time passes again and Matt arranges a UPS pickup at his shop for early the next week. When the driver gets their the kit wasnt ready or even in a box ready to ship and the kid at the counter turns the guy away saying he doesnt know what the deal is with the box. Not knowing this yet i called customsled and askk the ki for a tracking number for my shipment and he then tells me he sent the ups guy away because it wasnt ready or boxed yet. I was livid, how could it not be in a box yet if John already tryed to ship it, its gettin fishy. By this time Matt has to go out of town for a week on business and thinks everything is taken care of and its out the door. Since its not i try to take matters in my own hands and call john again and i finally get ahold of him and he says they are still waiting on gaskets, WTF!!!! He had told me they already came in! I say F the gaskets and just ship my kit as long as i have the headshim. I tell him i will send a guy over. So i call UPS back and set everything up for pickup but the catch is i dont have an account with them so someone has to pay for it at the pickup. Sure thing, so i call John and tell him the deal and if he could just pay for it i will give hime my Credit card and he can run it for the amount it takes given that i get a receipt. He doesnt want to do it this way and wont cover it for me so again the kit sits and waits until matt gets back. So the next monday i call Matt and tell him, he too pissed and doesnt understand why the kit didnt go out. I guess he then sends someone to go pick it up for him and deliver it to UPS. Finally this works, and the package is delivered, after a month and a half its in the mail. But, wait they for got the header some how, how the he!! do you forget a header? Well, Matt has a cab pick it up and take it to the UPS store and sends it overnight to Ak, not cheap by any means but he is trying to pull this deal together for me. So it all gets here and im juiced to get this goin. Why, because my sled has been torn down waiting for this turbo for over 4 weeks now, thank god i had another turbo to ride, thanks guy! HAHA Anyway, it arrives on my doorstep and i open it up. Intercooler is sick! I go diggin around for the turbo and its rapped in a towel and open it up and to my surprise its a 2554 garret, Not the 28rs i ordered. On top of that its been on fire and the blades are bent and mangeled and the compressor wheel wont even barely spin, like seized! So i say F it and dont even open the rest up, its late and im goin ridin the next day. When i return i tell matt about the turbo and hes says go through the rest and let me know how it goes and whats there and whats not. As it turns out, he sent me the wrong
-gas tank(rx1 tank)
-no headshim
-no boost controller
-fried turbo(2554)
-no turbo bolts
-missing silicone couplers(intercooler to carbs)
-missing vac line
-No air filter or intake
and more.
I call Matt and tell him i cant do this, i need my money back and he is perfectly happy with that. He understands and is more than willing to make it right, he even overnighted my money back. As for John, he still wont take my calls, and im pretty sure John and Matt had a falling out as well but he can tell you more on that if he wants.
As i understand, John also has some pretty big debts with Alpine, Powderlites, and Cr racing from what i hear. I cant go into detaisl on all that as that is their business but as time goes on im findin out that John at Customsleds.ca is a fraud and will screw you over at any chance he can, even his own friends like Matt, turns out the kit i was suppose to get is somehow on Johns personal sled, kinda convenient eh' John.
DONT DO BUSINESS WITH JOHN AT CUSTOMSLEDS.CA, HE IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!
