Dead sleds left on the hill?

If I pickup trash that is on the side of the road, is that stealing?

I was disgusted by the situation at Kebler Pass this summer. Enviroweenies don't care if the abandoned sled was left behind by a club rider or a spoiled trust fund kid who didn't know you had to add oil to the engine in addition to gasoline. They will blame all sledders for the abandoned sleds that litter the backcountry.

Where is the sled on Tincup Pass? I'll probably make one last camping trip to that area next month and don't mind recovering it if it is still there.

Yeah, may have turned around there and got half stuck getting off the trail. But pretty sure I remember it being partly burned up. Wish I would have took better pic.

Knucklehead sheriff's and their 'move it and you stole it' chit. If you anonymously dragged it out and dropped it off in their parking lot you'd probably end up on a most wanted TV show. Forget the FS and their crap, about as useful as the FBI. I thought some club's have no-fault authority to remove junk on public land if it's abandoned for a period of time. If they don't, they should get it. Then deputize a posse to bring'er down. Local salvage business would likely know, FWIW.

IMO you leave your sled sitting on public land through the summer it is no longer your sled and anyone can come get it. So if you see one do us all a favor and do something with it.

Dead sleds should be hauled out. Lighting them on fire is a bad idea cause it can start a forest fire. Forest fires are not cool

You're making the assumption that the abandoned sleds are all from Colorado.
Maybe they are? I have no idea.

Kebler pass has always been a sled graveyard for as long as i can remember. Looks sorta trashy to me. Im in favor of towing them out and parting em out. There were several up on the road to piney last year I think. Lame

Yes, It's assumed that they are from Colorado. If they are left in Colorado but actually reside in another state, I'd say its safe to say they are abandoned.
