de-icing throttle lever

whos putting what on their cable and throttle block to keep the ice out?
Or I was thinking about carrying something to spray when it jams up in powdery conditions. Usually I can pick the ice off and slap the lever repeatedly, but I needed something more today. and dont want something
that will weaken the plastic.

Go to an auto parts store and find a small aerosol can of lock deicer. Small can about the size of your thumb. Works great for these situations..........

Ice only forms when moisture freezes. You need to eliminate the moisture in your lines. Any lock de-icer over and over only puts a temporary fix on the sled. Just find a warm garage to completely let it thaw and dry thoroughly. Before you ride it lubricate the dry cable and you wont have a repeating issue with the need for de-icer on a constant basis. With all that said "lock de-icer" as stated above will work for a temporary fix for the day. Good luck

WD-40 (Water Displacement , 40th formulation) I heard as it has an affinity to water it is no good for this as it actually pulls the water down into the cable sleeve?? What do I know, just heard it.

One day we were out riding and my ridding buddys throttle kept freezing and sticking. Another ridding buddy suggested putting some coolant down the cable and it fixed it that time. It works in a pinch.
