D7silber turbo compared to D8

I have a 2007 dragon 155 silber turbo and have only ran it once in the mountains. It has lots of power just curious to hear from guys that have ran a D8 and D7 turbo, if the 700 has to have alot more boost to hang with the 8 or if it is close. Thanks, also some video of the boosted 700 would be awsome, thanks!

From what I have read, they are within 1-2 psi of each other (700 needing a tad more boost). I also read the biggest difference is the low end grunt, a little better on the 800 compared to the 700. That's all hearsay, I haven't witnessed in person.

Every sled is a bit different. My 700 race gas at 12-13 lbs boost is just insane. I have been told by the boondocker guys that they still cannot get a 800 to run as good on boost as the 700 does, its just a better engine. With that said, i bought Dan Adams 700 that was setup by Jared Sessions himself so its hard to compare that to just any setup......:face-icon-small-coo. The 700 CFI is probably the most reliable 2 stroke engine that you can boost and the power is very good all across the board.

Hey Kevin,
sure wish you wouldn't brag about that sled I sold you, while I sit here without a blower on my new one. Goddammit I miss that thing!

As far as the 7 to 8 comparison, the top end #'s on dyno are virtually Identical (when same turbo and same settings), but the 8 does have a little bit better bottom end torque. That said, the reliability of the 700 alone, is worth it!

I would like to see dyno numbers on a td8 or td7 out of curiosity. Does anyone have some or now if they have been posted anywhere?
