This is very preliminary but we did win round 1 in Ellensburg, the snopark will still be open this season. Thanks very much to all who made the effort to be there, PLEASE watch what goes on up there this season, OBEY the lower speedlimits with in the few miles of the snopark, RESPECT the homeowners land, RESPECT the skiers, showshoers and dog sledders, NO LITTERING, ect ect. If we police "our selfs" we can eliminate a lot of problems down the road. The problems up there are not over by any means, so please , again, keep an eye out for trouble, There's nothing wrong with telling a "mis-informed " snowmobiler of their wrong doing's or actions. In a polite way that is,

Nice job!!!! Big relief.....:whoo::whoo::smow::smow::usa2::usa2:

Thanks for that info Dan. Yes PLEASE NO LITTERING just the amount of garbage in the parking lot after the thaw makes me ashamed. I will never understand it.

Would it be possible to get some more signage up there, eventhough nobody will read it. :face-icon-small-fro:face-icon-small-dis

Ya, a sign....so people know they shouldn't throw beer cans and doritos bags on the ground. Come on....you think that will help. Save the trouble. Just throw a snowball at the a-holes you see littering. Just make sure I have my helmet on if you aim for the face.

No, I was thinking more along the lines of keeping speeds and sled noise to minimum and to respect other peeps. Kind of on the lines of "Do you want this snowpark closed???? PLEASE BEHAVE!!!"

Snodawg, you hit the nail on the head! I'm new to this sport last year, but spent many years motocrossing and desert racing. During those years I saw several tracks/areas closed down or their operations limited due to the actions of the few and the subsequent legal actions file by the locals. Right or wrong, folks can all get up on their hind legs and call foul on the home owners but at the end of the day it's up to us not to give the NIMBY's more fuel for the fire. Remember it only takes a few "in your face" numb nuts to ruin it for everyone else. Bottom line is obey the "rules of the road" as it relates to Crystal Springs and all areas! Speed, noise, fires, alchohol, late night/early morning operations, trespassing, vandalism, etc. Police our own and no worries!
