I have not been to cooke EVER BUT as a whole all of you saying that this guy should not be telling us his run in with a bad dealer(in his opinion) are dead wrong. As potential customers we all of the right to know how we may be treated. Bad dealers deserve to be know about. From the posts on here it seems like he is nice to the people he likes an if he dont like you then you are f'ed. Yet this other guy bob seems to like just about everyone, so out of the two dealers in town I wonder who I should go to if I need something.

Around here we all know the good dealer and the bad, if we have a bad experience we will tell everyone, there are a few good dealers around so people dont need to be spending money for people who dont care. Seem to be paying off as some of those dealers are now taking a little better care of their customers and the ones that are really good have a full shop of things to work on and are keeping very busy.

The helmet thing is a bit crazy, if he treated me like that for JUST wearing my helmet in I would tell him were to shove it. But for the most part I always take off my helmet as it makes you a bit top heavy and look like a ratard.

Also whats with all the slams from people back east, just because you dont like a person does not mean you need to bash everyone there, we have more problems around here with people from Washington than anywhere, the seem to like to leave their trash and are very rude, of course not all of them.

I think you guys need to go ride and cool down.

Oh my god folks these things get out of hand. In the future it might be better for threads of this nature to be contained in a review section or something similar and not be allowed responses. This would allow the OP to make his point and people to think to themselves whether they agree. In any case the format they are allowed to run in now means they NEVER turn out well.
A seperate thread could also have been used to praise Bob if you had a great experience there. Its funny how those threads (praise threads) usually last 5-10 responses and drop off the first page, while negative threads are fueled for much longer.

2. Another thing I saw several times in this thread was the mention of drop Polaris and buy and Arctic Cat so that you could go to Bob. Just to clear things up, if you are happy with Bob's service, he isn't a particular dealer, he will work on whatever you need. Point is keep the Poo you like and switch mechanics, although a non-dealer might be limited to a point obviously.

3. I just see a need for a different format for "review" threads of this nature. Almost every business owner is going to have negatives, but for every one of those there is definitely a positive to counter, and in the case of Rick and Susan there are probably dozens to every one. There are more than likely people on this very forum who have personally seen Rick's snowmobile headlight coming on a cold, dark night where they thought they'd be hunkering down for a long one. The amount of hours that Susan puts in advocating pro-snowmobiling work isn't touched by anyone else here in town. If they have faults they are far outweighed by the good they do. This is why threads like this one especially will drag on and on. The OP and others insisting they are right and others who know the "subjects" better becoming infuriated at the attack. ----- That being said, you had a bad experience, and no-one should be saying you were a liar, or insinuating anything about anyone from whatever geographic location.

Can this thread be locked by a moderator? The point is made, and any further discussion does not add to the conversation.
