"Contrarian" First Ride Review: 2023 Gen5 Turbo Expert

A guy really needs different sleds for different types of riding or different time of year. Many guys just give up riding if conditions are not perfect. I am too passionate to do that. But I get it, my 174 is not near as fun in the Spring. The Khaos will be.
Right you are.
I would be pretty sweet if I could afford 2-3 different sleds for specific riding type/conditions.
that WOULD solve the problem entirely!

I'm coming off a twin rail cat which I could put anywhere with little to no effort. We have junk snow most days here in the bighorns. I'm sure in good snow this thing handles sort of allright. In our snow Im certain it's going to be a nightmare all but those one or two good days.
After this next storm I'll get it out again but I'm going to try maxing up the front track shock, softening the ski shocks, removing the sway bar, and trying to gut the hood and clutch cover.
I'm guessing I could dump 10-15 pounds off the nose of this pig

I need a good fella to show us around, [emoji6].
I’d definitely love to go to the states riding.
I am sure we could work something out!!;)
But considering the mountains you have just west of you, I can't imagine WHY you would want to bother with coming down here.
You have WORLD CLASS riding just a few hours away from you?

Riding S of the border is different and also many world class areas.
Pursuit of deep pow and awesome terrain is even more competitive in Canada.
Yoyo and I ride both sides of the border regularly, neither are better than the other and both should be experienced?

You have a great attitude.
For us, getting up to BC is the great adventure.
You decide you want to come down to our little corner of heaven, let me know, I am sure we can arrange a fun couple of days for you weather permitting.

I enjoy revy, and the northern areas of the Canadian rockies. I always wanted to go to whistler for a rip but…
I like to explore different areas, I have a few bucket list areas in the states I would love to ride. Seeing the pics, and vids on social media of riding areas in the states, it just looks different and I would like to check them out.
I used to drive truck, so seeing Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado, from behind a windshield, the US rockies were amazing. Now I would like to ride those mountains.

After riding all over in Canada and the states, bucket list in the states would have to include Wyoming especially the Alpine area. ( this encompasses a large area). Another area that should not be missed is Mccall Idaho. Both of these have an immense amount of terrain to explore and get great snow. Nothing quite like tree riding in quaking Aspens. Photo of me enjoying a great day in Wyoming, two of us did not hear or see a sled all day.

Supposed to be near -40 tonight in Island Park.
not a good night for a Night Ride
We stayed in silver gate, for new years, in the 90s. Woke up to 40 below. Tried to get sleds started to go eat breakfast in cooke at the all seasons. No luck. Buddy got his chevy pickup started and come backin room and goes back to sleep. His radiator was froze. We did get breakfast and did go riding but we were a lot tougher then

Rode the gen v today in west snow was good sled handles good like on rails I’m impressed very precise on the power. One thing that concerns me is coming downhill it seems to not want to ride on the snow wants to dive sometimes. Maybe it’s the new skis.

Which sled? Turbo or n/a?
