continental divide groomed trails

hello new to the forum.i am from michigan want to plan a snowmobile trip to grand teton wyoming area maybe stay in the dubois .i was wondering how are the groomed trails? will my 1992 polaris indy 500 efi be worth hauling out west.i just want to stay on groomed trails dubois to lander .whats the best trails to hit with my setup?island park west yellowstone? torchlake

Lander to Dubois may be possible this year. There is pretty good snow pack at low elevations. I know they have not groomed the trail from Irish canyon to Pinedale. (40 miles) I heard they abondoned that section due to lack of snow and snomobilers but not sure. You would be better off to ride the trails around Lander/South Pass area then trailer your sled to the Place and Green river Guest Ranch North of Pinedale. Then ride from there to Dubois, Togwotee, Turpin Medows, Tetons, Yellowstone and even West Yellowstone. Make sure your machine is in top shape. Sevices are far between one to the other. You may want to rent rather than hassel with
hauling one out west. All the places I mentioned have rental places.

Lander is the only spot that's still a little iffy right now. The rest of the state will be fine for what you want to do.

The CD trail is the most groomed trail in the state but also the most used. It's great in the morning and rough at night around the heavily traveled areas, the less traveled will be a blast.

As for the sled, I wouldn't see a problem with riding it on the trail, it will be down on power due to altitude that is for sure but I'm sure it will still get you around.

You will not be able to go from Dubois to Yellowstone or Island Park thorough the park as you will need to be part of a guided group using the "BAT" sleds.

I still think you can get to Grassy Lake road and get into Idaho but I'm not 100% on that?
