Compared XP with stock Apex, Turboed Apex, and my 04 REV 800

I've lost all hope in dealers...try to do everything myself or get help from a knowledgable friend. It's funny (sad) how one employee at a dealer can cause someone to switch brands.

Enjoyed your review, I have ridden with these sled but haven't had a chance to ride them. I appreciate the review because its from your perspective, not some dealer trying to sell sleds. I rode the Nytro last year and it just didn't feel right to me, but many are very happy with them. From my perspective you can have em, the Apex (from an ergo's stand point) seems much more natural for me coming off of an older sled. The XP 154 I was riding with worked pretty well, couldn't hang with my "old" iron but then comparing a mod to anything stock is just stupid. He could climb as high as I could if he followed my down track up the hill. I gave him a hard time about poaching and he was quite clear, it was the only way he was going to get there. (Honesty from a guy on an XP) they don't all think they are the greatest thing ever, btw he was on his 3rd belt at 200 miles.

How come it's always the Yammy boys getting pissed at the Doo boys because we say the XP is good? If you like your Yammy, great. I loved my '02 MM700 too. But, I also love my XP! Let us Doo guys love our sleds, and we'll let you Yammy boys love yours. All I said was to see if a stock Apex could outclimb my XP in 3 feet of fluff. I never said anything about the weight(or lack thereof!) of the Yammy's nor did I "bash 'em". I don't know if you have actually seen an XP on the hill SLICK!? I have seen a few besides mine, and they worked great on the mountain. It's time to be real about this. If you have a hard time believing that a stock XP will outclimb a stock Apex, well something ain't right upstairs:eek: As far as "surfing" goes, maybe an Apex is better than an XP. Hey, ride what you want, and I'll ride what I want........at least until I "lose" it to an APex rider:D

Speaking of sensitive..... my comment was meant sort of tonque in cheek., sorry if it hit a little too close to home for ya. A couple things, I never mentioned weight at all, had lots of good experience on an XP and an Apex, never accused you of bashing, AND my main point, if you want to BE REAL about this, ya I know that the XP is gonna climb higheer than a stock Apex almost every time. But, before you get your feathers all turned the other way, before you're telling us for sure who's gonna win every race, I'm sure you'll admit that the chances of suffering some sort of failure on the XP is far greater than the Apex. So if that happened would theYammi guy be able to come on here and tell us all how he spanked an XP, cause I saw it happen ?
And as for my loyaltys and choices, you may be surprised which sled I've choosen to ride, this year. I actually like em all, but some are just more dependable than others, thats the reality.
Glad ya like your XP.
