WOOOW! Guess im a late comer to this one! Usually stay away from all the "heated bashing" but was bored tonite... hit post #136 and couldnt take it any more:

I think there is plenty of ability to judge the overall quality and appeal of your teaser in that pool.

You can rest assured that your teaser will get watched closely by all of the above because of this thread. For better or worse, you have drawn a lot of added attention to it now.

i think i've heard nearly this exact same thing right after the AK section died

... AND MY BELOVED "NEVADA: ELKO RIDERS" SECTION!!! We used to hit over 250-300 posts a year (estimated) Its a GHOST TOWN thread now. I actually took alot of self-pride knowing I started that thread 3 years ago (yearly).

So I "kinda" agree that Christopher wasnt intentionally slighting or favoring anyone... and I can see where Tudizzle had a good point. Didnt really have an opinion either way, let everyone b!tch. Read this whole dang thing cause the reading is pretty thin these days...

Dont know if "you" agree... but the "admin" pretty blatently slighted the SLEDBETTIES through this whole "process", if not through lack of recognotion than through some of the posts. And if no one has caught KRAZY KANADIEN'S TEASER.... WICKED stuff! But where is it in the aftermath? You know I actually released a "teaser" on here... of course I dont SELL the videos 'cuz they're just the average "joe's", they aren't "scripted"(I so much as see someone "eyeballing" something its a race to get the camera out before they HAMMER DOWN) and my cameras seem to SUCK every year... and no one would pay money for 'em ('cept me to make 'em)... WHEN AM I GONNA GET MINE!!!! (does this post qualify as a "mass PM" for "promoting" my TEASER?)

The Krazy Canadian Adventures 3 teaser in my opinion was way better than the TS9 teaser. And there seems to be a lot of praise for it as well, but maybe all the snowest moderators, and everyone on the staff of the magazines don't like it so there won't be a mass PM about it.

Moderators can't send out a mass PM any different than you can. Not that I know of anyway.
I don't see a single moderator making the choice to do that anyway.

How about an advertisers perspective? My feeling is Snowest is a business that sells advertising. As someone who frequently purchases their available ad space, I don't want the site "owner" promoting mine or anyone elses products and his own discretion. After all that is why you SELL promotion. Why would we continue to purchase ads when they are being given away? That and when others take it upon themselves to promote another companies product, you take away that companies opportunity to control the way their products are presented. The Klim thread is a great example. Christopher promoted Klim and then stated they have chosen not to advertise or participate in the forum. So really, are they happy someone has enrolled them against their wishes?

So in summary, if Snowest wants to sell ads, great, sign me up. But don't sell them to one company and give them away to another.

And to clarify TS & Klim both kick *** and do great things for the sport. They are both seasoned vets who need no help in the marketing dept.
