College Football!

(The Mtn/Comcast/Versus/CS TV) + MWC = IOC + China

Where did they get their camera guys???? I can't tell you how many plays I missed cuz the camera guy was faked out!!!!
BTW I'm worried that the Mtn will not be compatible when everything switches to Digital....I get better picture out of my 5.1 Megapixal Nikola $50 camera!!!!! rant over.

BYU game = very bad call's, great finishing play. I don't care how many games Washington loses Locker should be the Heisman for sure! It may just be USC standing in the end all by itself with a bunch of teams that are non-BCS then what would they do?.....give OSU another shoot for the title while ending up getting routed? That makes great football let me tell ya!

Locker for heisman, what the heck are you thinkin? Coach Beamer better pull the redshirt of Tyrod fast or this season is gonna go down hill fast. He has an incridible arm, people think his ability to run the ball is what he is known for but its not he put up unbelievable passing numbers in highschool and came out as the number 4 QB in his class behind Jimmy Clausen (notre dame starter), Ryan Mallet (started at michigan and transfered to arkansas this year cause coach rodriquez) and Aaron Corp who is in line to replace Mark Sanchez at USC. Tyrod is a super talent and they need to use him and get Glennon out

Also i'm not a believer of ECU yet but they did beat Noel Devine and Pat white on saturday but did anyone see what their former running back did against the Jaguars defense yesterday.. He tore it apart, thats one of the best and most physical defenses in the league, good for him!

Here are my rankings

USC, OKLAHOMA, OHIO STATE (if beanie is healthy), Florida, Georgia, Texas (watch for them to fly under the radar undefeated all the way to the OK game, that will be texas's only loss of the regular season, Colt McCoy has finally grown up) and I still think Missouri is missing some pieces but with a offense like that they have to be up their, also Graham Harrel has Texas Tech clicking.

LOL...All you BYU fans had better soak up the national ranking while you still have it...it's probably going to be another decade before you're ranked again. It's funny how all of a sudden every BYU fan thinks they are at the beginning of another '84 season. I'm not sure what I hate worse, BYU or the Big 10 teams (like Ohio State) that loose at least one game in a season (2006: 12-1, 2007: 11-2) and cry about how much they deserve a bid to the national championship game.

Long live the SEC.

I never said that BYU is National chanpionship worthy.. I just hate that a team has a good year then never gets looked at cause they had such a weak schedule and because its a MWC team.. Thats why i wish we were in a different conference.. Then we would see if BYU is really that good.. Either they will compete with ranked teams or get there arses kicked.. I dont care at least you know the teams worth..

Let me guess, youre a LSU fan and a few years ago you were a Florida fan..

I don't know, Mizzou did look good, Chase Daniels has field vision like none other, and now he has a better head on him, should make it interesting. Agreed, ya gotta like old Texas Tech, they have that spread-option workin'! They probably couldn't compete for a Nat. title, but they could sure f up the day for someone else! I guess only :clock: will tell, but that can't keep us from doing a little bench-playing in the mean time!

Nope...LSU and Florida are both fantastic teams but I'm an SEC fan in general with Tennessee being at the top of the list for me. I don't think that being in a different conference or having a tougher schedule would do the Cougars any favors. In both '06 and '07 BYU played great in MWC games but lost in non-conference games. On top of that, their wins Utah in '06 and '07, as well as their fluke win against UCLA in Las Vegas last year were nothing short of pure luck on their part and complete mental breakdown on their opponents part. You throw BYU in any other conference (Pac 10, ACC, SEC, or even Big 10 for that matter) and their conference record would suffer dramatically. There's no way that BYU could finish a season w/ similar results in another conference...afterall, they are 9-16-1 in Bowl games.

I strongly disagree.. Then why didnt utah or UCLA for that matter smash them the entire game before those fluke moments and mental breakdowns.. The first game against UCLA last year byu probably played the worst football they did all season.

I think that BYU could compete in conferences like the PAC 10 or Big 10 they would just struggle with the big dogs of the conferences like USC.. SEC probabably not

They will stumble, good showing against a GOOD clemson team, they shut down 2 of the best RB's in the game in spiller and james, but Bama will stumble flat when they get into the heart of the SEC.

every team in the SEC stumbles at least once against other SEC rivals, its the toughest conference to play in week in and week out... LSU lost 2 conference games and still managed to win a championship... pretty sure either of the teams that beat lsu coulda won that championship game as well..

Yup, who would have thought that Bama' would have come out and walked all over clemson like they did in week 1!

BYU fans....Do you think they would even win the once lowly WAC if they were heads up in the mix? Could they beat BOISE, FRESNO, HAWAII, or NEVADA if they had half of those games away from home? After the Washington game I have my doubts.

I think im the only BYU fan to chime in soooo....yes yes yes yes yes, i think 3 or 4 teams from the MWC conference could beat each one of those teams away from home

I am so pumped for the game this saturday, as much as i hate to say it i think usc is going to roll all over ohio state, i maybe have them ranked to high at 3, when they are clicking, terrelle pryor is getting his snaps and beanie is healthy they deserve that ranking though

What about Utah holding BYU scoreless most of the 2nd half in '06 before the Harlene Catch? How about the 'wins by the skin of their pants' with a blocked kick / punt ala Husky's, Utes, UCLA, et al? I hardly think that BYU would fair too well in any other conference.

BYU Losses since Bronco arrived:
2003: USC (PAC 10), Stanford (PAC 10), Air Force (MWC), CSU (MWC), Wyoming (MWC), Boise State (WAC), ND (IND), Utah (MWC)
2004: Stanford (PAC 10), USC (PAC 10), Boise State (WAC), UNLV (MWC), New Mexico (MWC), Utah (MWC)
2005: BC (ACC), TCU (MWC), SD State (MWC), ND (IND), Utah (MWC), CAL (PAC 10)
2006: Arizona (PAC 10) and BC (ACC)
2007: UCLA (PAC 10) and Tulsa (C-USA)

I don't think they would have the winning streak they are currently riding in any other conference or with any tougher schedule.

Yeah but you are saying these are fluke wins.. Your saying that any other day those three teams you mentioned would wipe the floor with BYU.. Im sorry but thats not the case... Thats why they are tight games and one by last minute plays.. They must be pretty competitive to have the game that close at the end and not getting blown out.. UCLA was a good team last year and utah has always been competitive and feel they would fare the same in a better conference..

I dont think you are giving credit where credit is due.. BYU has had a pretty good program the last 3 years. National championship caliber, i dont think so.. But good nonetheless

I dont think that BYU would hold the same win streak they had now if they were in PAC 10.. I do think it would be A LOT harder for them.. They wouldnt have as good a record but years like this year i think that they would fare well in the PAC10. not win it but come second or third

Don't count out Boise State for a BCS bowl. If we can win our next 2 games (home with Bowling Green then at Oregon) we will have a shot at another great season. Oregon will be tough.

GO BSU!!!

I would have to agree, Yes BYU lost to BSU in 03 and 04, BSU was much better back then (the best College football game ever IMO was BSU beating Oklahoma) BYU and UTAH have very good outlooks so far Bronco is the best college footbal coach in the intermountain west and Brian Johnson has finally grown into his position as team leader, they will both be very hard to beat. The WAC and the MWC are the key to changing this BCS crap and making a playoff similar to all other team sports, that is what this sport needs and it will get it soon enough, so go BSU beat Oregon and go BYU beat UCLA this is what people want (besides the SEC) and they will get it becase BSU beating Oklahoma in the long run is so much more memorable and entertaining then LSU beating OSU for the #th time.

i concur...
This particular year, BYU/Utah would own hawaii, boise, and Oh yeah Nevada backed out on the game that they were supposed to play BYU in. I wouldnt mind seeing a 11-1 Fresno and 11-1 BYU team playing in the las vegas bowl, hell i would drive down there and watch it (go dogs!)!
But once again the MWC is SO GAY that they arrange for their champion to play the 4th pic from the PAC-10, so you get gay rematches for bowl games... That said the MWC had the best bowl record last year out of any conference, better than the SEC...

But i give big props to the WAC for going out and trying to make their conference better. Using the BCS bowl money to land contracts with ESPN and get some national exposure is fantastic. The MWC better take note because they arent the biggest little dog in the west anymore... The WAC is here to stay!

last rant... when was the last time an SEC team traveled north into big ten country or to the west coast pac-10 and won on the road? And if the WAC and MWC are so lowely why dont top tier SEC teams schedule them for opening opponents?
