Cody Phillips Racing/PUSH Turbo - West Yellowstone Test Session

Guys,

PUSH Turbo had me come up and meet them in West Yellowstone this weekend. They've been waiting for some good mapping all year to insure their turbo kits will be running good for their customers. Some are out there on the snow, but not running optimal. Happy to report we've spent a couple of days in West Yellowstone and we've been tuning on Ken's new 28-73 Garret HTA turbo. We're seeing some excellent results and we've been able to run 10 lbs. of boost on the map sensor with straight pump 91. We know we can't run this at sea level because all of our testing netted us roughly 8 lbs. of boost on this turbo before we went any further.

Ken's 3rd injector in place of an intercooler is working very well and we're able to stage the injection in without any hickups or problems. We're getting really good atomization.

Ken's tried quite a few combinations for clutching and everything is working very well. We've got two different '13 Polaris RMK's running two different clutch setups which he can include in any of the kits.

I've got some videos I'll post when I get some time, but I just wanted to let everyone the PUSH stuff is now operational and ready to go. If anyone was on the fence about this turbo kit option, you need not wait any longer......

I can tell you this is an awesome kit, with a great fit and finish and an excellent turbo charger. Both Ken and Bryce know the Garrett/Tial combinations work the best and make the most power per lb of boost. So it's been great working with both of these guys.

Anyhow we'll likely be here for a few more days finalizing things. We fired up the PUSH Arctic Cat 800 and PUSH Arctic Cat 1100 turbo setups today. The 4 stroke is a freaking beast and tuned very quickly. Wanted to thank Sebastian for providing a base map that needed very little adjusting. It was nice to get back on a four stroke map for a change :).

The arctic will be ready to ship out with maps and turbo kits by the end of the week.:cheer2:

I'll likely post tomorrow or Wednesday with some videos..........

Thanks to Ken and Ward from PUSH/Brown's Leisure World for having me up.....

How long are you guys going to be out there? Im heading out there on Friday and would love to look at one of his kits and how they run. I just picked up a 2013 pro.
Thanks

I think I might have gave you a thumbs down with my fat fingers on my phone. Sorry about that and glad to see you got them running good. Awesome looking kit.

Cody how do the charge temps of the Push kit at 10psi compare with other intercooled kits? How do they compare to your W/A intercooler??

Just looked at a log for comparison. The PUSH kit is seeing a charge temp of 165 degrees at the top of the hill. Where on the intercooled air/water setup we see around 150.

Hey Cody, was nice talking to you out there at the lodge. Some sweet looking setups Ken had there.

You too man, we've got everything running pretty good now. Final test day today.

The artic cat pretty much destroys all the polaris' around here with about 3 lbs. of boost less. Pretty impressive........

thats what i heard from nick lastnight.... wish i could have stayed past saturday... are you seeing a big power difference between 7lbs and 12 lbs on the polaris silber kit. My sled does not seem to produce alot more power between 7-12lbs.. seems like polaris engine at 7lbs is at its max capacity to make power... its prob just me...

Yes there is power difference between 7-12 lbs. when you see true numbers

The motor is capiable of flowing in the high teens stock . we are doing it. the biggest hurdle is the pipe. at those pressures the pipe starts to place to much back pressure choking off the motor.

At 7 psi on your gauge you are only at 4 psi true boost. and as you climb in boost your gauge become farther out. so really if you are running 7 and turn it up to 12 you might only be seeing a true 3psi change. that is not alot in terms of performance.

Get a vipec so we can see what it is doing and we can send you out better direct replacement turbo that will flow some big numbers then you will see the differences with true numbers. Not just seat of the pants feel.

Yeah that's what Nick was saying. I can tell a difference up over 10psi but if you're running too much ignition timing the engine can start to fight itself so that's probably why you're seeing that.

Nick's opinion is skewed with his 1,000 hp nitro :) :)

haha thats awesome... Nick always has storys... :) well it would have been a perfect time to bring my other pro down there to get your kit and vipec going... im still kinda holding off till i know if im selling it or not..

How does the push compare to a VOHK setup boondocker? And how is the low end in the trees? The silbers around here are not working well, the boondocker is walking all over them.

i have heard alot about that we are not getting the boost that are gage is reading so is are 10 pound actuator wrong also. i also watched your vid looks like it runs good but seems that you have some turbo run-on and i dont here your waste gate or blv when you let off the throttle am i missing something
