Clutch recall

Was just at the Salt Lake snowmobile show. Was told by the Polaris rep that the P22 updates in the video above (new spider, buttons, etc) are only for the R9 P22’s. Was told they rev higher and engage harder then the Boost P22’s and therefore the Boost P22’s don’t get the updates. I call BS, but that’s what I was told.

After another chat with Polaris rep at the SLC sled show I asked if this updated P22 (that is not being offered on the 2022 Boost) will be on the 2024 Boost. The answer was yes it will be on the 2024 Boost. So this test dummy with a 22 Boost is stuck with an inferior P22 that caused stop ride notices on the 9R’s. Ohhhh the fun an Atourney will have when a 22’ Boost P22 that they didn’t update flys off the crank and takes someone’s lower leg off. Pretty sure that’s not gonna work well for Polaris.

By the way, I was told you 9R owners will be getting the full brand new complete P22 clutch, not just updated parts to install ie the new spider etc. on your old P22’s. Not sure about spring and weights?

Has anyone heard when the updated P22 clutch will be shipping to dealers? Pretty good storm in the forecast, getting antsy to get my 9r home!

My 9R P-22 clutch update from my dealer.

Last Thursday dealer called me to inform that Polaris announced a clutch fix. Was told they put in order for clutch replacement on my new 23 9R. Called today for update, was told they are still waiting on part as it is on BACKORDER. Might be available by mid November.

I've been waiting since July to pick up this sled from dealer's floor. Honestly, I wanted the sled but should have known better with all the RECALLS and STOP RIDES Polaris has had.

My dealer hasn't contacted me, hoping mine is ready soon, I've got a stack of parts to put on it and there's snow on the ground to get it broken in. Been waiting since July to pick it up also.

My dealer told me yesterday that the non-electric start clutches are a lot easier to get, the hold up is the models with electric start. For my 9R no electric start should be in next week.

You need to get laid

Yeah, maybe so. Been waiting for four months to pick up sled and finalize paperwork. Meanwhile, interest rates have went up nearly two points at the credit union, so yeah, just want this over with so I can go pick it up. This recall stuff is all new to me, I've ridden Cat for the last two decades.
You can buy the new Cat next year, which should stay the same for the next two decades and call it done.

Still waiting and received an email from Polaris that they are still working on a solution for the e-start 9R sleds.

Received this sled late in the season and barely got through the break-in before the season ended.

Riding will begin here soon and if the 9R is not fixed by the end of November the proper thing for Polaris to do would be buy the sled back. Will be looking into the "Lemon Laws" here in Idaho, but if I cannot ride it and Polaris cannot fix it, the Lemon Law will apply. Over twenty grand for a sled I am told not to ride!

Or just ride it……

☝ this happened all last year, sleds broken and warranty would not cover them. 3 more in my group jumped to doo this season because of this.

Just wondering if the breakdowns on those sleds were the parts directly related to the recall or totally unrelated and they just denied warranty because the sleds should have been parked.

has anyone been able to determine why none of the boost p22s have been recalled?
my 9 was on the list, boost no.
same clutch 🤷🏻‍♂️
