clutch kit reduce heat? worth it?

ok well i'm not trying to start a war here at all. i was just looking for suggestions on keeping belt temps down. my sled is not a "belt eater" at all so no need to get in a huff over clutch kits. thanks for your help everyone.

There is no war going on. Just good friendly fire and some wacky theory.

Im always dazzled at those who claim to have a TRA theory that works on paper and in speech but fails on deep snow.

Joe, I was thinking another reason OT's clutches get hot is that the added weight of his big head and ego cause alot of drag. The service Joe provides and the time he will spend on the phone is better than I have seen anywhere. The other day he spent 45 minutes with me and it helps those of us that are natural geniuses like OT. Joe you just keep giving advice to all of us it is appreciated. Remember the invite is open that I gave you to come ride in Montana.

The other day he spent 45 minutes with me and it helps.........Dr. Phil i suggest you get a 800# that charges by the minute.. You can make good money giving TRA BJ's good or bad your clients wouldn't even know the differance. LMAO

By the way i love reading his advice its a lot like other internet advice that rarely works as stated when used in the real world such as mountain deep snow.

Dude next time your around any big hills climb the hill 5 consecutive times and than open your hood and touch your clutch. Let us know if the cutch is Hot or Cold after 5 consecutive climbs. You don't need to be a genuise either to know the differance between "H" and "C".

Ones theory is just that ones theory. How it works while in use is the only thing that matters.....Is the world flat or round ?

Geeze OT....for a guy who hasn't touched a wrench in years who gets all his work done at TJ's, you're sure layin' it on thick to Joe. Joe has been nothing but helpful to anyone who calls on him. As with anything made for "the masses", there will always be a percentage who have negative results. I've been there, done that when it comes to TRA clutching. I can say I ran DJs set-up in my 07 Rev and it worked well. When I went to the big-bore, I had to go back to the drawing board. But out of the box, "for the masses", the kit worked well.

Come on DaveB since when is the TRA rocket science ? Its really no differant than any other CVT.....Whats the big deal stock or bigbore ? DaveB in your 07 with dj kit after 5 deep snow pulls on a hill did your clutch ever get hot ? Doesn't your TRA clutch get hot in your big bore ? Whats the big deal ?

PS: TJ is a yammie guy not doo guy heck he doesn't even own a set of doo forks. LOL
