Small, container sized, self contained nuc gen-sets have been in the news for the last 2-3 years now.
(Not necessarily Space-X tho)
I have not heard of one having actually been installed anywhere yet?
Not sure who wants to be the first town for that betta test?

I should of took a few the last couple of days, they were pure white clouds that had that brightness they are talking about accomplishing but the brightness was on top of the white clouds.


Here's another question for the pic below.
Since when do condensation trails not break up but instead grow, not talking about the one the jet is leaving but the one to the left of it.

Correct as in small container, these versions are a lot older then they leave us to believe. Some where in this thread there's a video on them that was designed for remote areas.

This is how the government makes a killing off of the people, there are states that have rivers that flood almost every year and what do they do? Pass it on to the next state, it's their problem.

Some call it an act of God, no matter what they have you by the balls, if you live in a flood plane good luck at getting insured blame yourself or who ever you want. Those that can afford it if available is out of the majorities income these days.

A serious question, why is it one of the river's that flows north and is known for flooding starts in the lower states and flows north ending in Canada is so difficult to find? I would think this would be very important information in multiple areas of concern not to mention this country going into global warming.

How many people actually know this, I even asked a NOAA person, off the cuff and that person didn't even know. That is not some menial trivia that is actually a serious geography question.

Just a helpful suggestion, there are 2 Red Rivers that merge together at one point, the smaller one is the Red Lake River that does not flow up from the southern states.

Look it up, you won't find the point of origin it starts from and ends.

This is not some little creek that goes over it's banks in the spring.

Yes, understandable, could you imagine the amount of snow fall it would take to accumulate that much water from just a couple of states?

The point I'm trying to make is this little lake for example, Lake Traverse thank you Mafesto, actually causes millions or billions of dollars worth of damage? It's not possible, it's illogical, find that lake on this map?

You barely even see that lake on the map, now try and map the real source that feeds that little river and turns it into a profit.
I think also one of those lakes to the right of Grand Forks is the Red Lake River feeder? Strange how it dwarfs Lake Traverse if you can find it?
Then there's the Great Lakes.
 
You are not taking into account the massive amount of land that drains to the Red River. The Lake itself is nearly inconsequential.
Most snow melts before the frost comes out so much of the moisture content ends up in the river.
The fact that it runs north adds to the likelihood of flooding. The southern watershed runs to the river which is flowing north. Further north the river has not opened up so ice jams create bottlenecks contributing to the flooding. This is why the Red river floods more frequently than say the Big Sioux, for example.
 
I get it, the ground is still frozen also, Canada built an impressive canal to divert it around Winnipeg. At one time it was common knowledge that the Red River is fed from the southern states mid section. That water comes from farther south is what I'm trying to find but can no longer find.

Lake of the Woods should be submerge, not a good example either :)


This I believe is that floodplain marker you see the top of in the 2020 flooding video.

That flood in 97 the river went 54' above it's floodplain causing 3.5 billion in damages.
 
No, you don’t get it. If there was a big lake it would take more of water. Lakes don’t flood plains. Runoff floods plains in the absence or overcapacity of lakes or rivers.
Your “answer” you’re searching for is the reason it’s a flood plain.

Our reservoir gathers an average of 8000” per day during spring. Several years ago we had a rain hit our snowpack while entire drainage was still deeply frozen. .6 of rain increased our inflows to 210,000”
Flooding everywhere in a high desert with lots of elevation drop.

When there’s nowhere for it to go, you get flooding.
