The next want to be assassin!
Lithium battery gone wrong, the guy never had a chance.
I passed a burned out car the other day on the side of the road on a curve a ways out of town.
The only thing left was a shell and if you threw it in the ditch you might of thought it fell off a scrap truck that pulled it out a 50-60s' vehicle that's been sitting in the junk yard the whole time.
Pretty easy to identify in the mirror as I passed, big black hole in the front vacant of an engine. The shell was burnt metal and the black asphalt looked it was torched.

Worked a bit in Yellowstone in 88, and a bunch more since.
The sentiment in oas flying is keep the fire boss happy. Helo pilots would offer to drop a couple buckets in the morning to prevent the inevitable flare up of the afternoon.
STAND DOWN! was the fire boss order! (because the script is ain't no fire boss getting promoted because he put out 20 acres of sagebrush/forest fire - even 100x.) A fire boss would only get Washington DC recognition and a HUGE GS promotion if it grew into a triple digit x 1000 acreage and media hype.
The above story is easily told by so many that worked the fires back then - we laugh/commiserate about it all now.
And a good friend flies present day DC10 in air tanker operations.
The thought that the US govt is fundamentally efficient is ignorance, and that they laid down some preemptive countermeasures is odd, but stranger things have happened.
There's bs going on, but this is not an example of it - imho.

Something as simple as pointing out the difference of jet fuel to diesel and put it in an bowl trapped by a mountain range one one side and an ocean inlet in the other, sulfur isn't exactly healthy.

we're not much different. over 98% of human DNA is identical to the bonobo which is a chimpanzee. we didn't come from apes, we shared a common ancestor.

The intent is cool down surface temp, works if you believe in global warming I guess.
