Chewing tobacco?

I used chantix to quit smoking last spring. It really helped with the cravings. I quit for about three months so I quit taking the pills. Got really drunk one night and starting smoking again. Still smoking to this day again. Its crazy how nicotine can run your damn life. I have also been a chewer but have quit that with no problems, its the smokes I cant get rid of!

Well I gotta go drive 7 miles to the gas station to buy a $6.75 pack of smokes, have a nice day!

also, lol'd at "second-hand spit"

I work as a welding inspector. Many times I've hit a knee to check bottom of welded member only to realize welder has been spitting there all day. "Second-hand spit" sucks.

I tried using Chantix to quit and ended up still smoking and was unbearable to be around.

We were at Applebee's in Laramie one night several years back. Sat in the non-smoking section, but on other side of the wall (with the big cut-outs) was the smoking section. We just got our food when these two guys just finished and started smoking. It was drifting into our "area" so we asked the lady if we could move. Every other table was full. So I just asked the guys if they wouldn't mind waiting until outside and they said ya they did, and kept at it. Now, I'm not a big guy, and my Chuck Norris skills are lacking, but the two other guys I was with would have more than covered my back. So I put my burger down, put in a huge chaw, soaked it up for awhile, and leaned through the cut in the wall and dropped about a half gallon of grasshopper juice on their table. They hit the roof. They were yelling, jumping back from the table and when the one guy said "what in the hell are you doing" I just said I couldn't wait to get outside either to have a chew and if I had to smell their smoke, they were going to smell/see my chew. And then we were asked to leave. :D So we went to Village Inn and celebrated with a skillet instead. ;)

No Prob quitting the chaw but the butts are tough. Seems I can quit 1 but never both. My ole lady quit the lung darts at new years so I guess it's my turn. Time for a long camping trip or something, if I'm as crazy as the wife was I'll need a divorce lawyer after I quit.

All this talk about tobacco gave me a big craving for a chew again. So not only did I buy a pack of smokes I got a tin of chew too, what the hell is my problem! Im enjoying the sweet tobacco as we speak.

All in all its all our own damn fault in the situation that were in. If I wouldnt of thought that smoking was "so cool" when I was fifteen I would not be in this predicament.

Anyone remember thier first chew? You put a pinch between the cheek and gum. A few minutes later you were turning 6 shades of green blowing chunks
all over the place. You thought to yourself, "Man that stuff is nasty". Can someone explain to me why the he!! we continued to dip after THAT?

We would get in trouble at school (back in the day) for chewing. I would
put a dip in my upper lip to hide it from the authorities. I never once got caught with a dip in my mouth becuse it didn't show. I'm going on 23yrs
chewing mostly in my upper lip. I even sleep with a dip in. Almost 24-7!

My problem is not only am I addicted, I like to chew.

when i saw my friend for first time in 3 years and he goes smile to me and i was like freak out! guess what i saw? many cavities and look like wood teeths! he been chewing since teen. so now hes so AA, smoking, and chewing. i asked him what happen to your teeth? he said well it prody from chew, beer, or cigs that he always do it before work, break time at work, then after work and more. so i asked him if he does brush his teeth that much? he said well not much.. just like one time a week.... WTF?!? i know some ladies will get scare away if they saw his teeth!

Never Tried It never will.Kids that I go to school with put it in Jerky chew cans and say its that:rolleyes: The greatest way that I've seen a kid do is put it in a ziplock baggy and put it in their hat I was like wow that took some thinking. Why dont you try Jerky chew to replace it:confused:

I've been chewing since the Bee Gees were at the top of the charts. Smoked for a few of those years as well. Smoking was easy for me to give up as I never really cared much for it. Chew (for me) is a different story. I've tried everything...patches, nic gum, double mint gum, sunflower seeds, jolly ranchers...you name it. Last time I made it 6 weeks (had broken wrist and the doc said I'd heal faster without it) before going back to it. I'd love to quit. I cut down to one can a week, that is going to have to be good enough I think. Funny, I had a neighbor that died at the age of 97. Chewed plug from the age of 12 and drank a fifth of rot gut whiskey every two days. You are probably thinking one of the two killed him? Nope, shot (on acident) by his hunting buddy. I hope that I am that lucky!

I love how people like to find the one in a million dude and use that person to rationalize their very unhealthy habits!!

Not doing that at all. Like I said, I'd love to quit. Talking dip always makes me think of Gerald, thats all.

I've chewed for 11 years and gut it. I know it's not good for me, but I like it. Cope long cut just has the perfect taste. Wish I could quit, but propably never will
