chaincase minor leak Q's

so while getting the sled ready for winter I checked my chaincase oil and it was barely visible on the dip stick. I removed the cover to make sure everything was good on the inside. The gears and chain and insides looked great. I used a little bit of silicon as well as the rubber gasket to re-assemble. I went out and there is a tiny drip of the new chain case lube I used under the sled. I dont really want to re-open the case again and re-silicone it again just for a tiny drip but now I'm paranoid that when riding, the lube oil will heat up, become thinner and leak even more while im out in the mountains. so question is should I open it back up and re-do the job or just check the chain case oil alot more frequently to male sure she isn't running low?.

hey

ya know what, I'm just gonna stop being lazy and re-do it or else I'll always be worried that I'm running it dry and that will Tick me off and stress me out everytime I ride it.

I would check the gasket on the drain plug located on the backside of the chaincase to make sure it is O.K. I would also take a look at the O-rings on the bearings to make sure you are not losing oil there.

Hope this helps if there is anything else I can help you with let me know.
