CFI 800 3000+ mile report

4035 miles and 3400 miles on two 2011 Pros with zero issues of any kind.

By far the best sleds we have ever owned, been riding for 31 years.

Did the 2012 motor mount upgrade and just did the Napa fuel filter change out on both sleds. Also just replaced the primary clutch on mine even though the old one was still going strong.

Love these sleds.

My 13 isn't there yet but it won't be long.

I saw a 12 at my dealer the other day that they had took on trade with 3400 miles on it. They pulled the head to inspect as everything was fine. Sorry no pics. Never thought of it at the time but service manager said it was fine and as far as I could tell there were no signs to lead me otherwise

that black sleds a 2012...

It's a 2011 with 2012 side panels and seat and 2013 running boards.

ah i see, same motor either way! glad you got some miles out of it. I have 5007 miles on my iq 700. still good compression and no scuffs or blow by markings looking in exhaust valve ports

hey rabbit do you use yours as a daily driver? I know to get over 2,000 miles in a season I have to ride both days almost every weekend. how do you get the miles?

Mine took a massive sh$t at 3100 resulting in a new bottem end from polaris. The primary and stub end snapped off at the case. Otherwise the sled now has 3700 and 120 psi each hole......however it is coming apart for a little freshening up

I don't know why anyone would go past 1500 miles with this motor without putting new pistons in or at least checking the piston to cylinder clearance... Your just asking for trouble if your not. Not to mention the lost power your riding around without.

3200 miles on 2011. Zero issues other than normal maintenance. Replaced top end with OE pistons at 1900 miles.

Don't take this wrong because I'll be driving a 2014 Pro, but coming from a Cat I think it's sad that putting a new top end on a RMK with less than 2000 miles is considered normal maintenance.

2011 pro. 4000 miles on original pistons, then the crank went last april. Got new '13 motor put in under warranty. The thing still ran real strong before it blew, though.

Wow. I have honestly never seen an 08-09 cfi 800 go over 3000 miles with no problems. You are lucky

My 08 800 dragon now has 4300 miles on it. Factory warranty updates (top end I believe) were done at 3000 miles but sled has never given me any problems. I snowchecked it in 07. 3400 miles at the end of 2010 when I snowchecked a pro..wife has ridden it ever since.
