Cataract Creek Area

We tried to get into Cataract Creek. Did not make it to much snow on road.IMO. There were a few trucks that may have got in. I know people streach the truth on snow depths. But I think this was a honest 2 feet of snow on the road only half way to cataract.........Crazy. We only did some ditch pounding.Wish we would have gone the whole way. Need more plow drivers lol.

Back in '01? we had a similar storm on a Thursday, same time of year. Me and a bud got Fri off and headed to Cataract. The road was only plowed to the Kananaskis sign so we unloaded there. Best powder of the year including BC. It was all we could do to make a loop from Etherington to Catarct and back.

Worst part was the grader did his thing while we were in there.

It was only plowed up to Eden Vally turn off . There was no way i was going to brake trail for 25 km with snow going over the hood of the truck. Sounds like 4 trucks got in and some went over fording pass........
