Carl's Revalve or Exit...

I'm mainly concerned with the rear shocks.
Can get Exit X0/X1 combo for the rear for about $800.
Carl's Revalve all the way around is about $550.

I have the stock clickers in the front and standard monotube shocks in the rear. With that said is a Revalve in the rear monotubes really worth it? No adjustability seems like it really would limit the revlave, but perhaps not... Seems like everyone with the revalve from Carl's ends up happy.

I'm curious about the revalve as well. I can tell you that the Exit's are awesome. Are you saying you can get X0/X1 combo for just the rear or all four shocks for $800?

Just the rears.

I guess my main question is how good will the Revalve be on the standard monotube rear shocks. Granted it's waaaaay cheaper, but if not happy then it doesn't matter the savings

What kind of riding and terrain do you ride ... from the parking spot, to the mtn and back??

When you do the shocks... easiest to pull the skid out of the sled... makes cleaning and lube of the suspension easy... shock removal easy and hyfax replacement easy (if hyfax is worn thin in any spots).

Lots of sidehilling and tree riding. I'll surf the open fields if snow is good enough. Not much on the trail at all. I jump/drop some, def a portion of riding I want to expand on.

If it were me I'd get the exits for the rear, leave the fronts alone, and when the cash is there upgrade the front also at a later time.

I love my carls revalve it was night and day better. Smoother on the small bumps and way better on jumps and hitting holes. I had over $2000 i float evol 3s on my pro and the carls revalve is just as good

I understand they are way better than what comes stock, I'm mostly concerned if they will be as much as everyone loves with just the monotube non-piggyback rears also.

Just bite the bullet and do the Exit's on the rear...money well spent my friend!

I hear ya, I'm just anxious for sledding so taking my time with the options.

I guess one of my thoughts is if I do the Carl's valve, they replace the internals with Fox parts, so I essentially have a fox coil shock. What would make the Exits better to justify the additional cost?

mine are standard mono tube, and I try to huck it off whatever I can. im not doing 100fters, but 20-30ft is pretty normal and mine feel great. usually when the snow is decent tho. not to hard pack landings

what about doing a hybrid: WE revalve and Raptor TRS springs?

That is what i will be doing this year. Loved the Carls revalve last year and thinking the TRS springs along with the clickers on the new sled (LE), will be a little piece of better.

For your kind of riding you've described and the budget you understandably have.. you don't need a remote "piggyback" with clickers...

The Carls revalve is pretty well sorted out...Make sure they use full synthetic shock oil in this.

.

TRS revalve and springs. Best boondocking package out there and you don't need to spend money on expensive shocks.

No, soon as we have snow he will I am sure. I have used his Pro specs in a couple different configurations and it was money everytime. The small suspension changes in the Axys, I am guessing his valving will be very very close.

After riding his valving I wouldn't spend the money for another coil over. I run Floats currently but it's only for on the fly adjustability and setting ride heights.
