CARFAX report...sucks

Well when i bought my truck got a carfax report, no accidents showed up, now i bring to dealer to trade it in and two accidents show up..... Is there anything I can do? I have both reports still...

I'd get in touch with carfax and find out wtf happened then talk to an atty and find out if you have any legal recourse against them for filing false information or something like that... it sounds like it is actionable

I think that they have a guarantee where they will give you money or something if their report is incorrect, I vaguely remember them stating this when we bought a report for a car awhile ago. I don't recall exactly, but you might look into this.

Yes they have a guarantee. I think they will buy your car back from you.

Read their wording carefully. It says something along the lines of, if it has been reported to THEM and they dont show it, then they will buy your car back.

First--you had to sign up for the guarentee when you bought the vehicle.

The original carfax--did you get it or did the place you bought it get it for you. Kinda like the NADA price you get aat home and the NADA price the dealership gives ya.

And next--did these happen while you owned the vehicle.
