Camoplast Track RIPS in Half while CLIMBING HILL - WATCH THIS VIDEO

Thread Rating
5.00 star(s)
you are very lucky you didn't stick your hand or something in the drivers at 10,000 rpm on that first role

That broken off tree apparently stabbed the track and ripped a window open.

I'd say you aren't going to get a warranty.

single ply

these new tracks sure arent what they used to be. i had all my center lugs blow off last wear because of high speed. there was no way they would warranty it because of course to them i obviously set the track on a sharp boulder in mn and pinned the throttle to try to scam them. ended up paying 1000 for a rush delivery to get new by the day we had planned to leave for the mts. crappy deal every time. id just look in the swap

That is a common warranty practice on OEM products.
I know that when you buy a Dodge with a Cummins diesel, you warranty is with Dodge not Cummins.

I see a response from Camoplast but what did BRP say? Is the sled still in the warranty period. If out of warranty I think your phaqut.

cant believe this guy evan thought of warranty. This website never lets me down when I want to read about all the DA's in the sport. Thanks for the great reading keep it up.

I have had it happen 2 times now. 156 camos

My extroverts pick up the track enough to knock off the rail end caps, then it spears. I had it happen on a hill climb last year. Couple things

1. if you are running extros, ALWAYS GET A ANTI STAB WHEEL KIT
2. If you arent running extros, run your track per the mfgr specs for tightness

omg.. somebody must submit the vid or photos to failblog.org this and the dude caught upside down pants @ vail are the best vids/pics I've seen all year.. Glad your alright, and thanks for having the huevos to share it with us!

I promise to vote for you on American Funniest Home Vids! That was a baller Superman! Most major companies have District Managers that are available to the pubic (technically), maybe you could pleade your case with an individual like that and possibly negotiate some kind of policy help due to your past circumstances. My business does this periodically through the year, and if the customer is calm, honest, persistent and intelligent with his case, they always help in some manor. Good luck, see ya in the funnies!

YUP ... being an '07 XRS owner has been hard work :mad: Now that it finally runs well, there's no snow. I feel your pain Sick ;)

Some familiar names from my 2007 Doo days, the Camo lite was a dandy. I can't believe that BRP didn't get a class action on those sleds. The track deal looks like the stars lined up wrong for ya Sick, just a freak accident. Just one more in a long list you are more understanding than most would be.
But......with the extro drivers there is enough space between the shortened rails and drivers to get the track deflected and catch on the rails=snap. Not the first one-I've seen one other. Nice form Sick, at least you went down styling!!!:beer;

Two good points here. Try to make some bucks on the vid and in dealing with BRP Keep your cool. once you go a@@hole you might as well hang up as they arnt going to do anything for ya at that point. You might have a good shot at insurance as you had an "accident" and they might pay out if you have any????
Could post a close up of both sides of the rip? :beer;:beer;
