awesum vidio, sux about the track,i would submit the vidio to americas funniest vidios, you mite take home the 10k weekly prize and buy all the tracks you want.

Got anti-stab kit?

my guess is it stabbed the track on the rails..willing to bet it is a almost perfect straight rip..my buddy stabbed the track on his rails going thru a ditch on his 06 rev...BRP warrantied it....said it shouldnt have been able to stab on the rails......

Now I'm not a certified track malfunction analyst, but...

Ha ha ha...I love it. Did you stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night?

To me the track kind of looks funny before you hit the tree. Just before when your skis are up, it looks funny to me. Probably nothing, but there is no denial, the sharp rock had something to do with it. Go camo extreme this time :)

Nice vid!

Sweet azz video! Nicely done. I swear that first tree did not damage the bumper but a good thing you took a closer look to be sure in this pic.......

as for warranty????I say no. If there was no impact and just driving down trail on way to church.....hmmmmmmm, MAYBE:)

ohhh man that is just a tiny tree!!! My dad had the same track and broke some paddles off of it... he got it covered after he threatend to take it to court!! haha

Amazing - sled survived the roll ok evidently, could have been worse.
Good luck on a warranty - video is incriminating!

Kind of like driving your truck down the road - hitting a sharp rock , blowing a tire and blaming the truck manufacturer. Don't think they design the tracks to climb trees! Must have been truly a freak deal and caught something just right.

x3....

Sled History....

WOW, a nice wide variety of opinions, this is great! Thanks to everyone for your comments!! And...just to clear up the "Kill Ski-doo" does anyone own an XRS? If you do, you'll know what I mean. This was the 1st ride on my 3RD motor in only 1500 miles (kept losing the crank bearings). My dealer has actually been great to work with and warrantied all 3 motors but ... it is FRUSTERATING after all this run around. I spent more time waiting for my sled to get fixed then I did riding it. I started out with clutching problems, then 3 motors, and followed up with the track ripping off... WOW... Hope that clears up the frusteration!?

And... my dealer said, "the sled had warranty...not the track." So, if I wouldn't have changed the original track from the Challenger Lite to a Powdermax, he would have warranited it for me. Said that was unbelievable and should NEVER HAPPEN!

So, there ya have it. Some think it was a flaw (as I do) some think it's just a SICK VID so from what I gather she's a 9+ on the dismount. Maybe the footage will be worth a few bucks to funniest home videos or somethin similar... THANKS again, keep the comments coming. It sounds like everyone has enjoyed the blurb thus far!!

really sucks for you, i know. but... i can't get enough of this video. for those of us not spending another $1000 for repairs right now...

Thank you.

Not the first one.

I actually saw someone 2 weekends ago with a 09 xp summit with a track ripped clean in half just like that one. I did not see it happen, so I do not know the details, but if looked to be ripped clean in half like yours did.
