Buying a 13 doo. How do I transfer the factory warranty?

The seller does not know if we need to do anything to transfer the warranty on the sled. I would call a doo dealer, but I'd imagine the are closed for the weekend.....and I'm getting the sled tomorrow. Any quick advice is appreciated.

You should be able to transfer it all after the sale. Just have him give you all the warranty papers.... I know on arctic cat it doesn't matter. If the machine has warranty and the dealer runs the vin and confirms that the machine is under warranty. They will warranty it.

i drove 300 miles, met a guy from canada that bought my M8. 15 minutes after that, in the same location, i met a different guy that owned the xm. it only had 31 miles on it, so it was obviously pretty much "new". i loaded it up and headed home. the only thing that was a surprise to me was it has electric start. the guy never mentioned it at all in his for sale add, or when i talked to him on the phone. and i failed to notice the lack of a pull rope when i was eye balling the pictures haha. its a pretty neat feature, and the little added weight doesnt bother me too much. i just dont like the fact that its more crap to go wrong, and there's no pull rope (aside from wrapping a strap around the clutch). it looks like you can add the pull rope to the engine, but it kind of looks like a pain in the azz to install.....

as far as the warranty goes, it started its life with a 3 yr warranty, so i obviously want to keep that. i got all the paperwork from the previous owner, and am going to call my local doo dealer this week and get the rundown as to if i need to "transfer" something, or if their computer database just recognizes the VIN and does really care who owns it....
