;Buy a warranty or insurance?

warranty is the only way to get repaired at no charge:)

A warranty would be the only LEGAL way. You can always get the best insurance policy available and throw a match in the gas tank, toss it off a clif, or drop it off the trailer while doing 80. With enough damage, they would never know the engine wasn't working at the time of the "accident."

Contact a dealer and find out if there is a way to purchase additional warranty. I just bought a sled and immediately added 4 year coverage on top of the factory coverage, so I am covered for 5 years.

Always get insurance on your sled. It's much easier to eat a $100 deductable than have to foot repair bills out of pocket. Plus insurance covers theft. There seems to be a lot of that going around.

Be shure to read all of the fine print.
Unless it is a warranty from the manufacture, most aditional, non factory warranties are a rip off.
Plus you should consider how much the warranty covers VS how much most engine related failures would cost to repair.
Also if you can do the labor yourself, whether it be engine or chassis, you can save a ton of money.
I would also check blue book value on your sled before making any decisions.

Nothing is free. It is a gamble. A factory warranty is the safest bet. The dealer you go to for service will have a lot to do with weather or not an item is cover by the purchased warranty.
