anyone here know how long before the ecu allows the motor to reach full rpm's? i'm at 3hrs and 50 miles but still only seeing 8050 for max rpms.

What elevation do you ride? The reason I ask is because every one in my riding area is pulling 8250 rpm and up. We ride 5000 - 7000 foot elevation. Mine would pull 8550 consistently on the road at 3500 foot going to and from the parking lot, that is an all stock machine. 8000 rpm is to low, I would shoot for no less than 8200 rpm.
I was told 10-60 is for above 10000. If you have those in you should be revving higher.
i was riding at 8-9k and clutched for about 10k. it'a all factory except for changing weights to 10-60's, which is what the local dealer runs for our area.
I waited until I had my 18 hours break in time done to put an SLP pipe and can on. I normally ride 6 to 8 K in elevation. Always pulled 8250 stock, went up to 8450-8500 after break in with the pipe on. Went to Cooke City and with just the pipe on and the stock 64 gram weights I put in 1 gallon of race gas in with each 5 gallons of unleaded premium.. sled would pull 8350 to 8400 at 10,000 to 11,000 feet no problem, no other changes other than gas.
More bad than good, if anything it'll lose power.Does anyone know if it is a problem running 50% 114 trick in a new stock sled.
good or bad?
