I ride with 4 of the techs and know most of the management. I've bought thousands of dollars worth of parts from them but never a sled. Basically the owner doesn't care if he gets your business or not. You can buy a sled from them if you can catch the owners kid there. They won't allow anyone else to sell them therefore he's the only one who can get the commission and quite frankly his attitude is, if you can't catch him there, come back later.
The techs are all hard workers but the owners won't send any of them for further training on the new stuff so there's a small amount of trial and error. The few that are there that know snowmobiles probably won't be there for much longer. Apparently the trip to Vegas, to learn about all the new products and service bulletins is a good excuse for the owners to take a vacation. Nothing is brought back.
The prices on sleds are usually pretty good as long as you're not buying used. If I was to buy a new sled from Summit, I would never allow them to do any warranty work. I would bring it to Yellowstone Adventures in West or see if they would warranty the parts and work on it yourself.
Honestly it's too bad there are dealers that don't care anymore, especially in the middle of some of the best riding in the west. Team Bozeman and Pinnacle Motorsports are also the laughing stock of plenty of local riders. West Yellowstone has far and above the best collection of dealers of all brands around.
