I am not laughing at my stats being wrong, just laughing at your assumed correctness of your statement of much being right. Yep, I was wrong, it was 50% in 2000 and it was 57% in 2006. I guess if I knew when you said that the numbers are MUCH higher that you meant less then 10% higher, then I probably wouldn't have made that comment.

BS traffic stops are not legal either. Again, probable cause is needed. A cop creating a fake reason to pull someone over is a cop I don't want working in LE. They are basically committing perjury at that point.

Being illegal is not as good as a warrant for the fact that your drivers license does NOT list citizenship status.

Law enforcement really has no way to check on this information. You are asking them to do a job that they don't have the tools do do.

Our constitution applies to American citizens. If you are here illegally, you should be deported....plain and simple.
Immigration law also requires LEGAL immigrants, even LEGAL temporary workers to carry their papers at all times. So, if they are here legally they have NOTHING to worry about. They have 2 months to find their papers before it goes into effect. If they are here illegally the Arizona law simply allows local police to enforce the SAME laws that have been on the books for decades and are supposed to be enforced at the Federal level....but havn't been adequatly enforced.
IMO this is no different than a cop walking into a bar and asking someone for ID to verify their age.....nothing illegal about it, if they suspect someone is in violation they can question them.
As for racial profiling....they are looking for illegal MEXICANS! Of course it will be based on their nationality, as it should be!
Will it work as intended?? Who knows, but something needs to be done, the gangs are literally taking over and alot of people are dying....too many are sucking the welfare tit and paying nothing back in which hurts the entire country. If nothing else it has brought the issue to the attention of the country so maybe a more effective plan can be put together.

How do you know if someone is illegal by looking at them? Are you saying that anyone that looks Hispanic should be stopped and checked for papers? I am somewhat brown (browner in the summer! ) if I am stopped and accused of being illegal I have no way to prove otherwise. I don't carry papers with me because I don't have any to carry. I have a License, but again, that does not list citizenship on it. So can I be held for a few days while they do a full background check on me? I was born in this country, as were my parents and grandparents.

Stopping to search someone for their citizenship status is a violation of the 4th Amendment unless that person is stopped with probable cause (traffic stop, etc) Probable cause is not the person is brown and looks like they are Hispanic.

You must be ignorant the Arizona law does not allow the police to stop and ask for papers without a primary offense, just as every other stop. And if the person detained cannot speak english that is probable cause to any reasonable person. Also Illegal aliens cannot get a drivers license in Arizona, wouldn't you agree that driving without a license is probable cause. Also the Arizona law states illegal aliens, not illegal Mexicans so where is the profiling.
Lets look at the problem in Washington, I will bet Arizona is much worse. WSP list of most wanted criminals.

How else would you pay an illegal worker that provides no information for a legitimate payroll.....which would also be admitting to hiring illegals. ?? They might have to actually hire LEGAL workers and pay a fair wage and taxes .....then we could cut back on the free handouts and the end result might be lower taxes for everyone...???
