Boss vs AC

Looked at the new AC seat the other day, has great storage but was unimpressed with the fit, the cover is quite loose and the bottom edges still hang over the sides of the tunnel.Keeping my Boss seat.

but i still dont get the angle on the back, makes you rest your head on the tunnel to see whats inside, silly

The angle on the back makes perfect sense. Its so that when you open the cover, your beer rolls out, its easy

Haha, just joking, drinking and riding is a bad thing and Arctic Cat would definitely not promote it.

Boss seat

Im trying to decide between the two i have a 2008 boss seat with 400 miles on it and it looks about 10 years old, faded, and 3 different rips in it , not fabric rips but seam rips, not even seam rips the stitching just came undone, called boss about it, figured id be under waranty, they asked for the number on the seat and the seat came up as spring of 07, preseason seat, would not warranty it because it was too old, complete b.s. The would however sell me a new cover for 160.00, ive had 2 seats before this one and never had any problem with craftsman ship,

any way im wondering if its worth the extra weigh of the 2010 seat or get another boss.

I have not rode with my new 2010 cat seat but i can tell already it is better than the boss i had. SOfter and way more storaege.

Do the 2010 seats mount the same as my 08? I know it wont be the same loacation but does it still use the pins?

the 2010 seats mount by putting longer studs in from under the tunnel that hold the rear of the tank down.just 2 nuts and bolts, no Velcro or clips.

Still waiting for cat to ship our deals stuff in. I have the new 2010 seat on that order and cant wait.

I looked at both the Cat seat, and the new Boss seat before selecting the Boss.

Pros: Love the height.
It's much lighter than the cat seat
At first I wasn't sure about all the seperate storage. Now I love it.
I love competition! Thank you AC. I paid $379.00 for it.
Hope I don't have to use the tow strap, but nice to have.
I like the new material covering on the side.

Cons:The man berries hurt after 30 seconds of sitting on it. It's ROCK HARD.
Good thing I rarely sit.

BOSS for sure. I rode the 10's and the seat was just as soft as always, and the cover fits very loosely causing it to slide around under your ***. Not impressed, and the BOSS weighs half.
