AB Boy, you sure it's not late because of the custom PINK color you ordered to match your trailing arm's ?:D

lol... might be

na dude... sold old pinky! ridin yella now (except it is stealth black and chrome... not a piece of yellow on it including some Bling billet shocks)

ahh... those were the pinky days, eh darko? Good times!

I feel real bad for Albertaboy. We had around 50 seats in stock this fall and sold them all but 2. I have a Apex highrise sitting here right now. I have a few customers that have been waiting a long time and I am not 100% sure what is going on over a boss. I sell over 100 seats a year and this year seems to be especially slow at getting my seats.

I think maybe they bit off more than they could chew with the OEM Arctic Cat deal. I am very sorry for you folks that are still waiting.

Kinda funny, I had to take another look at the date when this thread was created because the first 1/2 page was almost identical to a thread started last year about this time. And if I'm not mistaken the year before that too.

The fact that Boss is even answering their phone this year is a big plus though. That right there is an improvement over the last 4 years of their cr@ppy service.

I was lucky enough to find a used Boss seat that is in perfect shape, like new for a fair price. Otherwise I would have been forced to consider ordering one and having experienced their horrible customer service in the past I would end up riding on the stock seat.

Randy at GoBigParts.com is an excellent guy to deal with (paul Aris) he'll take care of you if he has the seat in stock.

BOSS=Best available seat on the market. Worst customer service on the planet.

Thank you. We strive real hard to please our customers but in situations such as this it becomes hard. I am very up front with my customers and even add a few weeks to the stated lead time and warn them that delays do tend to happen with Boss seats. This is why it is very important to order you seats in the spring for next years season. I have a very good track record for shipping these seats in August. This year was the first year there were a couple that had issues that did not get out when they said in regards to the spring check. Like I said I have already shipped around 70 seats since spring. Those customers are happy its the ones that are still waiting I have to help.

I ordered a Boss seat from gobigparts.com (paul aris) and recieved it in 10 days. He promised a delivery date and beat it by 2 weeks. If you want great service give him a call. I have a buddy that ordered a seat from Boss in June with a September delivery date, yesterday he called, not even in the plans yet to be made. Boss said something about their foam machine going down for a while......

I ordered one last year in March and got it in 3 weeks. I've also ordered seats before and waited 6 weeks.

Best bet with Boss is to call around and find a dealer who has one in stock. You might not get exactly what you want color wise, but at least you'll have a seat.

Just to let everyone know that I just recieved a letter from Boss explaining the current situation. Basically they did have some trouble with their foam machine which I was aware of earlier. The claim everything is running smoothly now and that all of the spring checks that did not go out when they were supposed will all be shipped by the end of November. I believe this accounts for some of my summmer orders as well. Seems like they are now communicating so that is a good sign. Most of my spring checks went out a long time ago but I did have a few that were delayed and some orders that came towards August that are delayed.

We have 6 seats we are waiting for yet and every time you talk to them they do not have a set date. All of my seats currently say they are "In Production" and the "Est Shipping Date" is end of november to early december for all but 2 seats. First of all, how long does it take to make a seat that is "in production"? It has said they are "in productin" for over a month? I understand they are busy but they need to change something.

Another pat on the back for GOBIGPARTS.
I recieved my seat before it was even shipped.
They emailed me that it might be delayed for a bit.
Seat showed up in the mail 2 days later.

Thanks for chiming in here Randy... I didn't want to have your name attached to this thread in the beginning as you have done NOTHING wrong... as a matter of fact, I mentioned that I feel bad for you having to deal with someone else's crap!

I have now bought 4 seats from Randy and a bunch of smaller stuff. He has been the BEST online dealer that I have dealt with (and I have bought a ton of stuff from a lot of different online dealers!). I never go a day or two without Randy getting back to me about any question that I have sent him, the prices are always fair and I will continue to support Randy and his business!

I have to be honest, I am p!ssed at Boss. If I had the answer of "if you are ordering the seats in the summer, don't expect them before December", my expectations would TOTALLY change. At least I know the time frame going in and not getting the questions from my buddies (and therefore Randy is getting the questions), where the he!! are the seats! I have $1700 in Boss's back pocket for 5 months and it sounds like another month. Maybe I should have my lawyer draw up an "interest owing before delivery" letter.

I don't know what to do with this poorly run company! Hey Randy... how do you feel about buying out Boss??? They need some serious help!

Well even if the dealer has the seat I want in stock I'll still NEVER buy another BOSS product again.
If you have an issue with your seat like a tear in the 1st season they come up with a BS reason not to warranty it. They told me I was getting charged $100 to get it fixed, found out they were going to do both side panels but only the one side needed fixing. So they said they'd only charge me $50 to do the one side...fine I can live with that.
I called them every week for 2 months and got the same BS..."it's going out this week."
I finally emailed Randy at GoBigParts and he got their azzes in gear for me and finally 5 months after I sent my seat in I got it back.
The toping on the cake was my card statment showed they charged me $79...they forgot to tell me they were charging me $29 for shipping.

Thanks GoBigParts.
FU Boss

I figured I've had such decent luck getting seats for my apex's I ordered a nytro seat in march. was told august/september at latest. it's end of october and just got a message from kerry at boss saying they are several weeks out and never garunteed this seat. I thought that was what I put a spring order deposit down for. Add me to the statistics. sent Kerry an email back telling him where to put his seat.

Your such a wanker Ryan. JK i have yet to see any of my seats that I ordered in March and I'm a freakin dealer!!! Talked to Sunshine today and the seats she promised me in Sept then Promised me in October have now been promised in November...WTF They know they have the product maybe they shouldn't have taken the order from Cat this year we would have had our seats already!!!! Upped production my A$$!!!!

Michelle

Don't hold back Michele. :D Tell us how you really feel! J/K. You're right though. Ryan is a wanker!!!!:D:beer;:beer;

I can also vouch that Randy from Go Big Parts is a great guy. I know that the shipping is out of his hands (from Boss). I ordered late in early September and I'm not going to see my seat till almost January. Sucks bigtime.

Randy also said when he contacted BOSS that they had just started orders there were made in June. WTF Boss?

How much do you want for that Apex highrise and does it have rear exhaust?

Every year this same thread comes up about this time. Names change some but same problem. Advise-ONLY ORDER FROM A DEALER-NEVER FROM BOSS!!.

Ohhh I have a BOSS high rise for a ZX summit -Blackw/yellow panel- $ 250 plus shipping. Not perfect but in good shape. PM me.

Boy you guys are worring me. I ordered mine on Sept. 15th and now the dealer is saying Boss said sometime next week it should be in. But according to all of the above post I still have a couple of months to go.

The thought that pops into my mind is cash flow problems. I have seen it before in the industry. I am not saying this is the case with Boss Seats....but I have seen other businesses that float money. In other words, they take the customer's money, use it to pay for materials for products that were originally bought weeks (or months) ago from other paying customers. More often than not, the owners of a business that does this is pulling money left and right from the till rather than investing in their business. Businesses that are ran this way from what I have seen first hand often always have a lie and a have a excuse to tell their customers..... even when they know fully well that that a specific order will not even be produced for weeks or months to come.....going back to the fact that money from orders placed 3 months from now will be used to purchase materials for your seat ;)

As I have said...I have seen this first hand..not naming any names though.

Honestly, I cannot think of any other reason why Boss has not stepped up to the plate. How come they haven't? Why do they lie to customers? Why don't they tell the truth? Why don't they step up production if they know their demand is so high? Why don't they get more capital to purchase more raw materials so they can meet the demand? LOL...ok, my rant is over now. But seriously, it is unfair to all customers to not fulfill their orders in a timely manner. Honesty goes a long way.
