My 1988 RXL Battery EFI Triple Blew over the top of Monster back in the late 80's. It had a what we call a 1988 SSTG Turbo kit. To bad they didn't have good video footage back then it would have made all the new turbo kits look bad. ![Face Icon Small Wink :face-icon-small-win :face-icon-small-win](https://www.snowest.com/forum/images/smilies/old/face-icon-small-wink.gif)
I have been around lots of turbo kits over the last 7 years. What is important, isn't so much the power, but rather the capability to get home with out helicoptering out your sled or getting towed home. I can tell you there is nothing worse... I have spent a lot of money on turbo's, and there is nothing more sickening than seeing your 20,000.00 not work right. Especially when you get your a$$ kicked by someone who spent a heck of a lot less money on there kit.
NM's stuff looks like it is spot on in every video, it never misses a beat. There just isn't enough videos on the vipec. All I really hear is a bunch of lip service. If you want me to buy one, then quit trying to blow out NM's candle..... Make your candle burn a little brighter, by showing us videos, and real world experiences. The videos that you show, I am sorry to say, are not even close to what NM is doing on his sled. Take it up and run up monster...better yet, come down here to Idaho....and I am not talking about Jefferson, as those mountains are fairly small. Wyoming is a lot like Revy, and we could put those sleds to the test on some real world applications...on actual big runs.
There is no way that a pro will or could ever run an 88 MPH track speed at 6.5 pounds of boost. The speedo must be calibrated incorrectly....and we have yet to see actual real world proof of this.
Please flush the attitude down the toilet. I want to see real world applications, not read about how much better the vipec is.
