What is the best Hp gains for the RMK 700 I Just picked up and 08 with slp performance kit on it, air horn kit, and vents.
How can I drop the LBS ON THE SLED?

How much are you willing to spend? One small weight savings is to pull all the foam out of the engine compartment - gets heavy when wet. If you have coil over Ryder/Ryde FX ski shocks, you can get Fox Float2 shocks, they work well and are lighter.

I would rather save weight first and power later. I can spend a round 2k

Right now here is my parts list

Wrp Boards

Ice age Rails

Bark buster front end -5 lbs

skinz seat -3 lbs

Porting the track -30-40 lbs

Best performance thing you will do to that sled is a HOLZ ALPHA-X rear skid and some decent front shocks. You already have some quality add's for your engine. Now tie that to the snow.

Trust me this is my field of expertise. The sled will weigh less but most importantly it will respond and perform better in all conditions. Your suspension is a function of your transmission. This suspension uses the power of the vehicle better than any suspension I've tried. It's also very versatile and that is it's other great advantage over the competition. Good at all conditions not just great at some and wanting in others. You see the hub bub about the PRO. What suspension does the PRO run? A copy of this HOLZ suspension. The Alpha-X is light years ahead of the stock coil spring setup for that sled. I ran the very first one on an IQ RAW chassis and it made that sled outstanding. Once you dial your preferred setup it's a very impressive performance tool.

big bonus plus'
lighter than stock
geometry allows the sled to pop on plane quicker
infinite suspension adjustments for sled, rider, and power variances

Thanks F-bomb. I order the ars FX arm front end kit this morning and I have been looking at all the suspension set ups for the rear all morning and trying to figure out what to do. The alpha X is $$$ but I does drop 13 lbs on the RMK. that and porting my track should get me a loss of 20 ish lbs. plus the -3 with the Front kit. I was going to use the stock front coils. but I found a set of fox fronts for $700. total saving almost 20 lbs with the whole suspension. plus the track porting.

I grew up racing MX so I know the importance that suspension and weight have.
