Blue Moutains 2012-13

Went out yesterday and enjoyed the snow. Powder is still baseless as temps have not been in the upper 20's for more than an hour or two. Saw no Cats in the powder, only on the groomed trail. Plenty of places to track up, you just have to find the right places and get off the beaten path.

Is that a challenge??? :scared:

Mike PDQ 9am 1/1/13? Mission to find and destroy all of the Bluewood powder pockets. Nick's family is more then welcome to come also.

Ride Report 12/29/12

Hi.. rode out of Rose Springs... Road and parking lot was plowed. Trail groomed (I assume all the way to Cloverland... but do not know for certain)

Still less than 4 feet at the marker... hill climb is easy... Junior is easy (going up, going down it is a little icy as in 90+ MPH going down the hill :jaw:)

Some pictures from our ride:

Brian breaking some powder

Cute chick in the snow (Alia)

Two Doos and three Poos no break downs... and then you have the ONE Cat rider.... (I will have to bring more tools or a tow truck when I ride with CB 8)

So are you guys coming to Dayton? I'm undecided what side to ride but I know of others wanting to ride on Tuesday so we will have to make up our mind tomorrow.

Just got back from Tollgate. There was a bus wreck on I-84 which closed the eastbound and sent traffic over Tollgate. It was bumper to bumper like a parade and I heard lots of passing on the corners. Luckily no body else was hurt on Tollgate but very sad about what happened to those on the bus where they report 9 died right now.

Was groomed from (Toll Gate?) warm up shack to Cloverland on Satuday when we rode.

Okay that confirms the Pomeroy based groomer ran all the way over to Cloverland (BTW The land of no use... ie wilderness blocks the access from Pomeroy to Tolgate... but wow that would be cool if you could ride all the way from Cloverland to Tolgate)

Ride Report 1/1/13

Rode out of Dayton with Flyin W, NickBro, CB 8 and is it "RMK all the way" on a Doo? Trails are groomed and the correls parking lot was plowed... what a great day... blue sky... but everything (now) is all tracked up:face-icon-small-hap Need more snow....

Photos... Flyin W (note Polaris and Doo made the top of the hill... no Cat in sight)

Other pictures... playing in the snow...

and as usual if not broke down... the Cat boy was stuck

BTW anyone find a blue shirt on the trail... contact me if you did... thanks

Ride Report 1/5/13

Great day! Went in at Cloverland, road and park are plowed, trails are groomed. GREAT BURGERS at the Mt. Misery warm up shack... remember to bring $6 for a great burger.

Brought the older granddaughters along... one riding an 80 Yamaha 340 Enticer and the other on an 80 Doo 300 Citation... they had a blast... one got a little panicked climbing a small hill and when she started to slide backwards down the hill pinned the throttle AND the brake:face-icon-small-con... the smoke coming out from under the hood looked like a big fire.. :face-icon-small-sho but all was good... got her turned around, fixed the belt and we were off... fun to watch as one is very conservative and the other wants to take the Yamaha boon docking (she was the one with the pink mohawk on her helmet... go figure) :bounce:

Hope this new storm dumps a lot of snow... boondocking at this point can be spendy

Wish we could have joined you but the girls had basketball in Washtucna plus I was at a fire on Friday morning and was beat.. Cassidi could have broke my old 1988 indy for the maiden voyage. I am thinking that you need one of those Mohawks maybe in a shade darker then plum maybe a nice PRUNE color.

Ride Report 1/12/13

Rode out of Cloverland.. road is plowed to the park... trails are okay. Great burgers at the cabin... but no net gain in snow, still a little less than four feet at the Misery marker... looks like there was a pretty good melt and then 8-12 inches of powder snow on top... pretty much go anywhere snow... everything is tracked up. It was snowing pretty good when we left but we really need 1-2 feet of new snow

Rode today. Not the Blues, Calispell Peak near 49 degrees north with Karl. Trails sucked bad. Definitely more snow then the blues but they too need more. Saw a moose today. As you can see even cats get stuck.

Had a great time today Rob !! We shall hit that last area again.

Say, there's no stuck Cat pictures, here, LOL.
Thanks for digging me out more that once.
No bad for the old man.

Anyone here know how the membership works? I'm able to post without paying, like it has over the years.
I don't mind the rate (now that I've been informed) but cant' find under the rules or elsewhere on this site how to send in the money, etc.

Plum Nuts Goes CAT!!!

After years of riding with CB 8 I finally parked the Doo and bought a Cat... it has about as much power as Cb 8's 800.... this is me in the front yard showing off the new sled

Holy $hit Mike you are on to something. That is the first time I have seen you with the skis on the ground!:face-icon-small-sho

He is defiantly related to you. But I am disappointed that it is not up a tree.
