Blue Moutains 2012-13

I am probably out for the whole week. In laws in town, basketball games, gynmastics practices, work, family politics. Snowmobiling and Christmas time are not compatable for me

5- 9 inches for tomorrow during the day. Its going to be a good one!:bounce:

Glenn you are right about it takes lots of skidoos to ride with my cat. Not many of them can get a good picture of me when they are sitting at the bottom of the hill.:photo:

Only because the doo's were afraid to leave the road.

We will do are best to mark our territory as usual (like all good cats do) but since Plum is not coming don't look for scrape marks on the trees.

M A Y B E riding Christmas... too many family and friends in town right now

some reminders of the perils when riding with kitty riders:bounce:

Ride Report 12/25/12

Merry Christmas everyone!:face-icon-small-hap

Janet and I went riding today at Cloverland... it was kinda cool old style riding like back in the late eighties and early ninties... two other rigs were there, no grooming, and the road is not plowed...we drove as far as just past Anderson's Ranch and then had to turn the truck around as no one was going further in a truck.

Light snow all day and fog but it was pretty easy going... you know Cats could have gone along on the ride:bounce: anyway there is a little less than four feet at the marker. The snow is not very stable... kicked off a little slab on the hill climb so after that stayed in the trees.

But before we got done hill climbing Janet wanted to make a run at the face of Misery and she almost made it before she got stuck (see photo, I took the picture so it looks like she got stuck on flat ground so those with vertigo:dizzy: would not get sick...)

Mike that looks like an Etec not a Ptek so that would tell me that you were more then likely piloting that sled when it got detained.:sorry: Just saying.

Merry Christmas to all.

All I still need for Christmas still is a healthy family and a new fuel map.

Note the decal on the E-Tec "CB 8 Tow Services"... nope Janet was the pilot... her hillclimb's handwarmer switch broke and her fingers got chilly:sad::sad:

Did you say that you were climbing trees instead of the hills??? Maybe you too should consider a CAT! :target:

The trail to Griffin has now been groomed as well as to Godman and down Eckler to Tallow Flats as well as the 700 trail has been groomed. With the wind who knows how well it is holding on top though. They got the groomer fixed Rob and got some country covered.

Rode with a great crew today. Too many to list. A few observations after today.

The M-series is the worst trail sled ever! Blows belt over 70 mph and uncomfortable as hell to sit down and ride. But that is not why I ride it!

I have rode a XM, XP and dragon this year and I will have to say that the people that ride them make it look easy!:yo: I feel like a fish out of water on them!
Glen or Bill how is the snow on your side? Is there any fresh left to be poached?

Nick and Mike see you on Tuesday.

Went out yesterday and enjoyed the snow. Powder is still baseless as temps have not been in the upper 20's for more than an hour or two. Saw no Cats in the powder, only on the groomed trail. Plenty of places to track up, you just have to find the right places and get off the beaten path.
