Blue Mountain Snow conditions

Decided when Alder Ridge was reporting 60 mph gust this AM to stay home. Don't need to break something. The season is just getting started. Plus WSU is back in tomorrow. It might be a busy afternoon with the fire dept.

speaking of the forest circus... heard at the Mt Misery cabin they wrote a lot of tickets to people without Washington licenses (remember this year Washington does not recognize snowmobile permits from other states)

That is not correct. Washington only not recognizes the Snopark permit, it still honors the snowmobile registration from other states. Do you have any names of anyone who got a ticket? The Idaho registered sleds will still be okay in Washington as well as Washington sleds okay in Oregon or Oregon in Washington. It is only the vehicles in Washington SnoParks will need a Washington SnoPark permit, they won't honor an Oregon permit.

Sounds like the Forest Service cops don't know what was changed.:argue:

It has to be a resident out of state tag. WA does not recognize to my knowledge non-resident Idaho tags. Lot of guy near the border do this to avoid sales tax. PS Idaho does not recognize Non-resident tags with out a resident license from some where.

heard it second hand... maybe it was tickets for no license

Washington accepts out of state registered sleds, but you must have the Washington sno-park permit to park in the designated parking areas.

Anyone want to ride pomaroy or Dayton tomorrow? Sure its not going to be the best but need to get out of the house.

Ride Report 1/18/14

Rode out of Rose with Nickbro and family...

GOOD: Good company, blue skies, great burgers at the Mt. Misery Cabin, and groomed trails

BAD: Way too little snow... can't really hit off trail too hard as there are too many land mines to cause $$$$$

GREAT TIME to take grandkids, kids, and newbies to the mountains as the trails are super smooth...

Im waiting to here back from a buddy today and going to ask a different one today. So not sure yet. If i can't find someone care if i ride with you again?

Tony,

You are always welcome. Depending what the snow totals end up after tomorrow, I might ride Dayton with my Brother from Prosser. Once again you are welcome to join us.

Have fun Rob. I am over by Mt. Baker for the weekend so won't be around. Honk at Bill when you go by the orchard as he will have the Boy Scouts there practicing for their Tollgate trip.

Will you be at P-roy the next weekend for the Bucket Run? Thinking about coming up for that if there is enough snow.

How's your sled doing Tony? My white is turning green and brown and had a lot of pine needles on it after last weekend.

What time you getting up here Rob? And my sled has some brown race stripes down the sides to. Kind of wishing i went to a 154 may trade it in at the end of the year on a hold over. Other then that its still running strong.

I have got to ask where freezeout is? Heard about it many times just don't know where it is
