biulding IQ Race sled for pow riding

I bet you could do the red with some contact paper.... idk how well it'd hold up to trees/branches/etc though

If i wanted to i could just have SCS take me a rap for my entire sled :D

I just took my seat off of my 05 to have the red taken off the seat and in place i am getting white! Also, i have 07 black A-arms to put on it.

I found a sled close to me. It is a 07 600 mod. It has SLP twins, race porting, V-force 3, high comp head, extroverts, prototype Simmons rear skid, Holtz front end, Fox Evol front shocks with remote res, SLP skis, SLP tunnel extension, 144x1.75"track with woodys, 2 hoods, also comes with all the stock sus parts like a-arms, walker Evans shocks, rear skid ETC.

I assume that is a smoking deal for $6000. Only thing it needs is some orange paint, gripper skis, low comp head, and a 9 gal tank.

Do it right once or do it twice the cheap way, of course they are a little bit of a lengthy project but the rewards are well worth the risks, look at those pics above...I think that says it all

I love the look of these sleds and may consider building one next year while I have another sled to ride. Is there a reason people don't go longer ie: 153" 159" 162" Just curious.

Gonna try a 159 x 2 x 15 x 2.52 finger track on an '07 Pol IQr 440. I bought a 155hp UBR600 & twin Crank Shop pipes in the same deal. Have to do a D&R plus a skid set-back, and the 2 center mounted 8" billet wheels will take up some slack. We'll see how it all goes together.

Becasue most people want to jump them and jumping anything longer than a 144" just doesn't cut it. I want a sled to just jump in the early part of the year and my 121 doesn't cut it in 4-6 ft dry montana pow.

That makes sense, but a 1200 cc watercraft motor is not the best for jumping (weight wise) and I see some of these motors in these chasis. Do they boondock/sidehill well?

If you have a 1200 WC chances are you are a hill climber so then ofcorse they have a long track. As for side hilling and boondocking, i think it is a lot easyr to side hill the IQR than the IQ chassis. Don't get me wrong i can ride a mean cut with my IQ but not as good as my IQR.

You're not too far away from me, I'd like to hook up and go ride this winter and see one of these sleds in action before I start sinking the money into it.

So, can someone name the builders of the tunnels, starting at the top? I know which one the VE is, but who built the others? I have an 05 with a 155 under it. Holz extension, 600 ves with twins. Now I need a different tunnel.

Save yourself some time, give VE a call and get your tunnel ordered. Mike has been working with Winter on these things and they just keep getting better! The heated edge, IMO is worth the little extra $. His tunnels are strong and the design just flat out works in the deep stuff!!!!!!

I_own_you, do you have the stock iqr a arms or have you put the rmk front end on? I would imagine the wide front end does not make for as easy sidehilling as the dragon?
