Biggest Storm in the last 7 Years?

these weather people should have to issue public apologies. that would be funny. i was planning on riding from my house in the morning up bountiful, but it looks like i'll be driving up now.

if anyone is interested in running up, pm me and see if we can meet up.

the good news...

snotel shows tony grove lake with 63" and trial lake with 56" as of a half hr ago. I have enough new here in wvc to rip down the street once, maybe wait till the morning Lol.

I cant get the snotel to read snow depths for me, just water content...which link are you viewing?

Well I don't know what it is like where you are at but the storm was a big let down in my neck of the woods. Maybe 2 inches if we are lucky. I just kept looking at the radar and seeing how fast it was moving I knew it would come in and then be gone before we even knew it. Maybe it hit big in your parts and I am sure there is a lot of snow in the mountains where it really matters but it sure didn't live up to all the hype in my neck of the woods.

My comments weren't personal. I was just saying don't spoil our fun dreaming of a great big snow storm that we've waited all thru summer to get, but you're right not a ton. I'm in Ogden and not the big one we were hoping for, but it was good to get excited for, and hopefully it's not over.

I know it wasnt personal, heck I dont take anything on here personal. We all are just a bunch of grown ups acting like kids on here. :face-icon-small-hap And there is nothing wrong with that. I guess over the 20 years of watching and listening to the news I have come to the conculsion that when the weather men get all this hyped up about something, it turns out to be a dud storm. I HATE it when the weather men get the public all up in a panic for absoultely nothing. But on the other hand when they say it is going to be an average storm and it drops a foot at my house then I am even more excited then ever. It's all about expectations. I wasnt expecting much for this storm and therefore I am not disapointed. On the other hand those that were expecting foot upon foot upon foot i would say are more disapointed this morning than I was last night about 10:30 when the storm had fizzled out and left 1-2" in the path.

BUST!!!! Weathermen LIE and don't know how to measure!!! Same dudes that somehow stretch 2" into 10" when they lie to their wives and gfs!

My wife thinks im the best weather man she could find... I told her so.... :first:

PS, so don't tell her about Adam (AKA)Mtnpull....:face-icon-small-sho

Well up here in Idaho it kicked butt for 3hrs, it sure wasn't the 10hr storm they told us about

It is looking good this year! We have more snow right now than we have had at Christmas for at least the past 3 years. If we can ride at Thanksgiving on the roads it is cool, but will be bustin' deep pow this year with fogged gogs!

Perspective.......It could stop snowing from today until Christmas and we would still be above normal snow pack in the Uintahs. Lets hope for a few storms between now and then:face-icon-small-coo
