Big THANKS to -

Hey, big thanks to TREE_CLIMBER & KESTREL2126 for where to look for my problem. You where right, I took it down to the TB and they looked fine, but as I was taking It off - - - WOW Im suprised it ran as good as it did.

Glad you were able find the problem. I would suggest ordering the TB boot reinforcement plate that HM Turbos offers. There are several companies that sell these, but the HM model is machined, and has raised nubs, that fit into the bolt head indentations in the rubber, to give a better fit and support. THey call it a 'Reed Retainer Plate" on their website.

I got a new rubber intake (the only one left at the local dealer) they been on back order since 2007 ??? and the plate from Curt at Fastrax. Put it all together and it runs good.

Question - the #s I have in the BOx seemed to be OK, but that was only achiving 6lbs of compression, do you think now ill be way off or what #,s are a general rule for a D700 running 10 - 12 Lbs ???

6 pounds compression???? .......in the cylinder?...?..

he means 6lbs of boost. if your concerned i would just reset everything back to the way it came from the manufacturer and start over. better safe than sorry

Are you running egts or a/f and what are they showing? As suggested above I would go back to starting numbers reccommended by bd. I would also suggest double checking for boost leaks. Is your air box/intercooler pushed all the way on tight? You can also check if it's a boost leak by clearing your stats and then running it and seeing what your charge temps are. If they are over 200 probably a boost leak, if not then its probably a tuning problem.
