Well, I left a note with my phone number and nobody called me. What a bunch of pillow biting fairies!

Should have taken a nice trail dump on his windshield....actually I would have had a hard time restraining myself from kicking dents in his rig.

Good for you for showing some restraint!

You did the RIGHT thing by leaving a note and not causing any damage to the vehicles. Not to get all "righteous" or anything, because I sure have had my moments, but wreaking havok on anothers property really does no recourse to the situation at hand.

Hopefully, the note will engage the "pillow biting fairies" to think next time when they park. LOL.

Remember, we are all in this together.

Close to the same

Had some jerk off block me in. I left a note in the dirty door panel with my phone number and spit on the window. This was down town jackson some spoof in a caddy parked so close his license plate was closer than an inch to my hitch. I guess I could have called the fuzz and had it towed out of the way but what fun would that have been? I guess common sense isnt a used when parking anymore.

A few years back down in Idaho I had a buddy get blocked in where he could'nt get out. When the other guys got back things got outa hand and one of the guys ended up gutshot with a .338. Poor basturd lost his life over an argument about parking. :(

That old guy is mule :D :beer;

My personal tactic is to simply take all the pins out of the hitch/trailer and add them to my collection just incase I loose one.

When I first read this, I was thinking what a horrible thing to do. But as I Own U explains, simply the hitch comes out when they go to take off, so no harm. Hopefully you at least remove the safety chains too!

I think this is better than vandalizing someone's vehicle, although I would be tempted to slice tires, kick in the door, rooster the truck and make sure i was on a bed of rocks; if i were blocked in; especially in an emergency situation.

Also, taking numerous pics of the vehicle and posting them here so everyone knows what the culprits rig looks like would be a good idea.

Really no harm in driving off w/ no trailer in tow; vs. vandalism.

There is no way that you can be certain that the hitch will pull out immediately. The tongue weight pulling down will wedge the reciever quite a bit. It will take the tongue loading and unloading as it bounces down the road to wiggle the hitch out. I'd bet that the vehicle would be quite a ways down the road before it came loose, endangering innocent people. Stupid thing to do to somebody IMO.

This is dedicated to the morons that parked in front of my truck today. We were having a good day, the snow was untracked and deep. Then my buddy clipped a boulder and tore up his shoulder real bad. It took me over an hour to get his sled out and turned around so we could get back to the truck, load up and head off to the ER. We got back to the parking lot only to find that these 2 fawking retards had parked directly in front of my truck, making it virtually impossible for me to drive out. Colorado Powersports had a demo booth set up and their rep told me that these dipchits came in, parked long ways in front of my rig. They told them that they couldn't park like that and block people in but these brain dead idiots just laughed, unloaded and rode off.

One of these azzhats was driving a white or silver Chevy SUV with a small two place trailer with a POS Yamaha Phazer still sitting on it and the other mentally challenged buttnut was driving a silver Dodge with a camper in the bed and a small aluminum 2 place. Both morons were from Illinois.

Anyways, I loaded both sleds in my trailer and then I proceeded to move the empty trailer, swinging it to the left (jack-knifing it) so I could move my truck in order to take my friend to the hospital. I hope that I bent your hitch when I moved it. As for the other prick, I had half a mind to ram your pile of crap and push it out of my way. It wouldn't have hurt my rig on bit, my bumper needs powdercoating anyways. But I decided against it, you are lucky!

So to all of those azzholes that think that they can park anywhere they want, think again. It's rude and thoughtless to block somebody in like that. Sometimes the worst happens and people get hurt and need to get medical attention. Because you fawktards blocked me in, it took me an extra 40 minutes to get out and get my buddy the help that he needed. I left you a real nice note on your windshield with my phone number so I really hope that you mental midgets call me tonight.

Sorry for the rant but I am pizzed off! I get to the lot early in order to get a parking spot and then these waste of space fools arrive late so they just park anywhere they can. That is just fawking wrong!

i would have hooked a chain and moved trailer and truck damage or not--some people just dont get the parking thing---big horns parking lot was a cluster f88k this last saturday--5 trailers had the whole thing screwed up:confused:

That's the same way I look at it as well.

Who's to say the idiots that block someone in don't end up in an emergency situation themselves? I know they're complete dooshbags for parking like that, but I don't think I'd want to be responsible for delaying someone receiving medical assistance if necessary.

Please do not assume that I am bashing all Illinois peeps in this thread. I know of some real nice guys from Illinios that I just met. I was trying to fish those PITA's out but I guess that they aren't gonna be man enough to show up.

Good point skibreeze, never thought of the tongue weight.

Luckily for us, there are at least 2 vehicles, and we get out early...so, we always park so one can get out easy and the 2nd one follows.

I hate hearing these kinds of things day after day. What happened to this sport?

And for those of you that don't know Vertical Escape 800, I had a dealings with him last week and had my parts sent my direction faster than I could write a check for them. He simply asked, "I don't have any reason not to trust you, do I?" I couldn't get the money out fast enough. Too bad this happened to a guy that treated his fellow sledders with utmost respect.

Just report their license plate and tell the cops that you saw them looking through other trucks and that you are missing some tools out of the back of yours.

My father-in-law borrowed my trailer ands sleds for his work one day. He went down by Colo. Springs to access a Radio tower. Long story short, he hauled a four place open trailer with 2 sleds from west of Springs back to his house 15 miles east of Parker and then back to my house which is about Wadsworth and Bowles. Some nice bunny loving tree hugger pulled his pin and the trailer never came off, but he was lucky. I use a locking pin just for that reason. I have another friend who had his pin pulled just because some probably thought it would ruin his day, but he had an exrta one. I would probably flatten a tire or slide the trailer side ways. I would not want to hear about an accident about someone lossing a trailer and killing or hurting some inoccent people.

What can i say? The government pays me for population control.... Anyone want to go hill climbing in Cooke city? I hear the snow is really good up there. I know a really sweet windblown hill with a huge cornice at the top! Its so much fun to climb.

Anyone in for it? I will let you make the first few marks your self?

First off, the trailer is not going to move with out any pins in the hitch to hold it in.

Hey fuktard! That is not true at all!

Load up a trailer especially a four place trailer with a decent amount of tongue weight, and you will see that the receiver will stay in when you take off. Most of the time the receiver is frozen in place until the road terrain wiggles it out of the socket slowly, many miles down the road.......

That very thing happened to me, about 40 miles from a hotel.........

Think before you do something like this. It is not like you are standing behind the receiver with no load on it and pull it out.

Your little tactic could get someone killed........

You just don't know when to shut up, do you?
