Big Horns Survey - Where is the Best Place To Stay?

If the owners could ever get it right, Meadowlark used to be a great place to stay but haven't been there for a couple of years b/c of the owners jacking it around.

We have stayed at Bear Lodge for the last 9 out of 10 years. One year at the Big Horn (now the Passage) because we could not get rooms at Bear. Always have had great service and a great time at Bear Lodge. Good people. Stayed at the Big Horn about 5-6 years ago. The cabin and the bar was great, however the food wasn't. I have heard good comments about Arrowhead, Ranger Creek and Snowshoe but have not stayed there. Never stayed in the South Big Horns.

Stayed at 2 places the past few times out

Snowshoe lodge. Cabins were very clean, microwave BBQ's, comfortably sized. Sauna and hot tub. Lodge was very nice to hang out in with the others staying there and the Staff was excellent. Also the heated shop (free of charge) was heated infloor heat and extremely spacious. Food was excellent. Would recommend to anyone.

Ranger Creek. Cabins seemed quite a bit older than snowshoe, less spacious, cold floors, no microwave or any kind of kitchen in them. Didn't see a grill to use. Meals were good as well. Burgers by far the best of anywhere around. Hot tub was out of use and appeared to have not been in order for quite some time. No sauna. Wireless internet was very poor and was able to get it to work for about 15 minutes of 6 days staying there. Pricey and the lodge was quite a bit smaller and not as "homey" feeling.

I would recommend anyone to Snowshoe anyday. Snowmobile in from your truck and stay right in the mountains, very private. Snowshoes prices were also quite a bit cheaper than ranger creeks as ranger charged a 20% service see or something as well on the bill. Was disappointed after I left compared how "ranger creek" on here made it seem. Will not be back there again. Going to Togwotee Mountain Lodge this year, will let everyone know how that goes.

We stayed here 2 years ago and it was good. Nice rooms and good food. We usually stop in a few times a season as well. No bar but we brought our own booze.
