Big bore king cat on a single pipe?

Do I really have to get another set of twin pipes? I know I will not get the full potential out of a modded motor with a single but I really like the tunability of the single.

You kind of answered your own question... :D When I had my 990 I ran Jaws D pipes that worked very good but only after finding the right inserts for back pressure.. Slp twins would be less finicky but just not the same hp.. I thought Speedwerx had a bigbore single??

We run Black Magic singles on two of our 975's, and a stock pipe on the other. Like you, we didn't want to mess with twins. We're probably losing some potential, but it is not necessary to run twins.

DD has a bigbore single pipe for the 900/1010. My buddy put it on his 900 that is ported with cut heads and he said it helped out on the top end over his slp pipe 900 pipe.

I have a SLP single right now and was hopeing to just use it. Thanks for the info guys.

Pipes

I had a big bore king cat with twin jaws and they were great, eliminated the right hand bog , a little loud but were excellent my new sled a m7 cutler dragon has ceramic coated cpc made by jaws and they r awesome.

IMHO you spent the money on a big bore why choke it down with a single pipe?
We tried singles on our 990s and they didn't like em. Made better power on a stock ported 900. Absolutely no comparison to our mildly modded SLP twins.

I agree the 900s can easily compensate for the twins. Iv ran the slp single and loved i. Ran the twins and loved it.. Depends if you want a little more snap or a little more speed. imho
